YPS Imaging - Mooroolbark

Wouldn't recommend YPS. They are very unprofessional. The report from the sonographer wasn't correct and at the hospital it was confirmed that there was nothing when they did the ultrasound. And i had to pay $50 which they told me while doing the ultrasound!

Had great experience with Sonographer called Hiral. She is really calm and kind. She is really great with her work. She treated us nicely and the way she did scan of my dad’s foot was amazing. I really appreciate her work. Had not so good experience with reception staff. Had to call couple of times to get those reports but I really recommend Hiral. Thank you Hiral.

I required an x-ray of my upper and lower back and the staff were great. The receptionist I spoke to was very pleasent when I needed to rebook my appointment. When I arrived, i was promptly seen and the x-ray tech was very patient, knowledgeable and efficient. My scans were also bulk billed! Highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work.

I came here based on the reviews and that was a mistake. Firstly the equipment was unable to print an image, which as a first time mother I was very disappointed about. The sonographer I had for my dating scan was lovely and made the exprience very pleasant. The second sonograher I had for my 12 weeks scan ignored my partner when he asked a question, told me he was concentrating too much to answer any of my questions. Also the viewing screen was not working for me to be able to see my baby, and then at the end he told me bluntly that because I'm a big girl that made his job harder! I requested an email of the images as I couldn't get a print out and was told I'd have them later that night. Which I didn't, I had to ring back to follow up and was told 'oh sorry, I forgot.Not good enough. They were happy to take my money but no personal touch at all!!!

I had a shocking experience at YPS Mooroolbark one Sonographer I had was completely incompetent, admin staff are not helpful and unclear about out-of-pocket fees for certain scans. I have sent multiple emails to try and resolve our issue to which they have been ignored. Would NOT recommend anyone to go there.

Not recommend for ultrasounds. They were rude and did not share screen with me, gave me a 30 sec look at baby and was not clear. Feeling really disappointed as I didn’t get any images for my partner or kids to see and didn’t get a chance to see my own baby.

Do not recommend! Firstly their waiting area really needs a good clean, it was extremely dirty and dusty. The toilets had no toilet paper both times I visited. First ultrasound the sonographer was more interested in teaching students than giving me an update. No printing services for photos either. Second time, the TV wasn't working so i couldn't see anything then the sonographer gave me some bad news and quickly ran out of the room . I do not expect a therapy session but some normal compassion would have been appreciated. Please go somewhere else.

Firstly, our sonographer, Toan, is absolutely amazing and the most helpful and patient person in the world, I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. However, my partner and I have had an absolutely horrible experience with the centre itself. The reception staff have no communication skills and incorrectly booked our appointment three times in a week leading up to the day. Furthermore, they then failed to advise that it would NOT be bulk billed and asked for payment post appointment. When questioned the staff lied multiple times saying they did tell us about payment which was an outright lie. After speaking to management the story changed several times about how much we were owing and that we would not receive our results until payment was made, regardless of the overwhelming evidence we provided backing up our position that we were NEVER informed about payment (which would have been fine if we had been told first). Absolutely love Toan and if it wasn’t for him we would never visit a YPS again.

Would give 0 stars if possible - purely due to the excessive amount of unnecessary stress this place caused me over an already stressful time of year (Christmas time).My appointment was fine, the sonographer was lovely. I do feel he gave some information he may not have been qualified to do.He said he was putting through my results as ‘urgent’ and I would hear back within the next business day. 3 days later - nothing. Both my GP and I had called and were told the results were coming. The day before my GP was due to close for 3 weeks, I was told the results weren’t able to be finalised because the ONLY person they had who can read the scan had Covid. Miraculously 2 hours later, the results were back after me begging for them to give me something - I was expecting worst case scenario after what I was told in person at the scan. The results concluded to me being told I have 6 (very big) suspicious lumps in my breasts at the age of 28.My GP advised an ultrasound guided biopsy would be needed. YPS couldn’t give me an exact date for when this could be done with them so I asked me GP for a referral to somewhere else that could do them.This other place (very well known) advised they will do the biopsy but needed to do their own ultrasound first due to protocols.Thank gosh they did. 10 days after the first scan with YPS, I had 2 sonographers at this other clinic scan me (one being the senior sonographer), they advised me they have never even heard of YPS, they also scanned for a VERY long time and COULDN’T FIND ANYTHING. 1 small lump that was non suspicious. Not one other thing could be found.My GP has stated their clinic will not be referring any patients to YPS anymore, as they have had a few problems with YPS.I also will never go back nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.Clearly is not the first time this type of thing has happened given one of the reviews below - imagine how many others this has happened too but they just haven’t written a review.If you’re struggling to find a place for scans - try capital radiology or marina radiology.

I recently attended these offices with my mother for her to have an ultrasound. They are a disgusting and filthy premises. Medical imaging is not a cheap process to go through but this place is definitely cheap on the cleaning. Their waiting room was clearly in need of vacuuming and overall dusting, the toilets were so disgusting my mother couldn't sit on the seat to empty her bladder for the required imaging nor was there anything for her to wipe with or dry her hands. No one should expect to visit a medical facility in such an abhorrent state. If you can...select another place locally to have your MRI's, Ultrasounds and other procedures done. To think that you would conduct such health sensitive tests within dirty surrounds...? Someone should attend from the medical guild to inspect these rooms. Gross!!!Some may believe this is a harsh appraisal. Let me ask you this...Would you take a child or loved one who suffers from immune issues to a medical facility which is unclean?
