Refused entry at the checkpoint Charlie across front door due to their refusal to accept mask exemption. I showed vaccine contraindication paperwork, but was not allowed in without showing mask exemption paperwork. Reminder: privacy law does not allow private citizens to demand proof of medical record. Nor does Public Health Act 2010.As a customer who has shopped there over many years this treatment was as surprising as it was appalling. Will NEVER shop here again and will enjoy online and better value rather than support businesses with such low ethics.

After navigating the double jab protocol, I was shown a selection high quality rain coats. I bought a middle priced Patagonia jacket which will go into my golf bag

So glad we have a local camping store. The staff are always super helpful in finding what you need and there’s is a great range in store to choose from.

I didn't have the best experience here to be honest. They did all their customer service correctly but failed to sell a whole package to us and we had to drive back 2 hous to get a raincover for a backpack and they didnt say sorry and when I asked for a possible discount on the overpriced Osprey raincover he gave me 5 cents off. If you want gear go check out Aussie Diggers in Lismore they have some good stuff but not the same as Bunyips. I really want to love this store but I work in retail in hiking stores and it bothers me when staff don't make sure the gear they sell is fully equipped. It's like selling a pair of shoes but no merino socks to go with them. You need to make sure the customer has everyone they need before they walk out the door. To me that's perfect customer service.

Good price on the item I wanted although the free postage was slow. Unfortunately the product didn't fit well, but he team at Bunyips made the return process easy.

This family owned local business is a great source of experience and knowledge for all things camping & kayaking. If they haven't got what you want they will try to get it for you. I have bought my last three hiking shoes there & when my husband had problems with his shoes not long after he bought them, they contacted the company (Keen) & got a replacement. Thanks Bunyips.
