We found Paul Durkan to be transparent in his business dealings, punctual, reliable and a craftsman with a fine eye for detail. One of the most impressive aspects that we found in our ten month time of working with Paul was his ability for innovative problem solving as well as the team of experts that he brought to the job along with his ability to convey his high expectations into their contribution to a home that brings us satisfaction on a daily basis.

My husband and I engaged Durkan Construction to renovate and expand the back of our home to include a new living area, bathroom, laundry, kitchen and alfresco. It was a pleasant process from start to finish.We have been in our renovated home now for 1.5 years and we are very happy with it. The home is exceptionally well built and we truly appreciate the attention to detail and quality of workmanship.Paul was very pleasant to deal with. What set him apart from so many other builders whom we have contacted was his responsiveness to client’s needs. Paul took the time to listen to our questions and concerns, and addressed them promptly.After the renovation, there were a couple of issues that needed to be rectified, as would be expected from any construction work. When we rang Paul, he was there at 7am the very next day. From his after-build service, we feel safe knowing that if we ever had any issues with our home, we could always contact him and he would be there to resolve them.Durkan Construction is also managed by Jackie, who was also very pleasant to deal with. In the day time when Paul was at clients’ sites, Jackie was always available to handle our queries and requests promptly and professionally.The price provided in the quote was accurate and there were no cost blowouts. The only unexpected variation was when the gyprock was removed and it became apparent that the previous builder had not constructed the walls to Australian standards. This was rectified in line with an engineer’s report. Other variations were from a result of our changes, such as extra electrical work.We highly recommend Durkan Construction and would certainly refer this business to our families and friends.
