Swan Valley Rest Cottage

Whilst the location is very convenient to Swan Valley we found the accommodation very tired and run down. The drain in the shower /toilet was a nuisance and caused an unpleasant odor to be smelt in the bedrooms and lounge. The toilet, and basin blocked each day and was inconvient with 5 ladies using the facilities. Other considerations need to be made such as; matched crockery & drink ware and ensuring there are sufficient of each for 6 people (accommodation is for 6 people). The numerous mixed scattered rugs are inappropriate to have on carpet- a constant safety issue with numerous guests tripping on them. The fridge is a very small mini bar fridge which again is not appropriate for the guest house. Again referencing the house accommodates 6, so a fridge for one is inappropriate. There is a lot more to comment on such as mould, cleanliness and so on. I am sure you get the gist, money needs to be spent on this to improve the standard of accommodation.

Amazing value. I thought I was in a shared house arrangement and couldn't believe I had 3 br to myself. The Bed was so comfy and I had a great sleep, I was a bit tired so I didn't get to use the large pool but it looked really night with a large outdoor area. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils you need. Super tidy, WIFI is good. Lots of information on whats in the area. I wanted to stay another night but someone else had already booked. This is now my Go to when I fly into Perth

We booked our room here for the night. Not easy to find due to lack of signage. Owner was out and son home but the room had not been cleaned. He apologized and offered a full refund. Sent us along the road where luckily at 6pm we found a place for the night. Have been back in NZ for 10 days and still no refund. I feel totally let down by booking .com and the owners. Wouldnt use them again.

Secluded 3 bedroom house with everything you need including a pool and spa. Very close to Swan Valley and Midland shopping, it's perfect location. You have 2 outdoor areas. One private and one shared pool area. The beds are comfortable, the house is clean and you have a fully functioning kitchen! I got more than my money's worth. The owner Monica is so lovely and helpful too. Thankyou

Host was lovely and place was nice, however is attached to house. Arrived and straight away were advised the toilet was blocked, but should only take an hour to fix. 5 hours later with people (not sure they were tradesmen) trying to fix the issue by digging a hole outside one of the bedroom windows which caused sewerage odour all through the accommodation. Also walking around in the back area supposed putting hoses in the pool, which was supposed solely accessible to us. It ended up being fixed but not the point.This was booked for my sister and her new husband as a gift and they left a night early due to the family’s dog barking all night and roosters behind the house. No compensation offered for the inconvenience. I wouldn’t recommend unless you just need a place to sleep.

Wonderful guest house with large beautifully decorated bedrooms, an exclusive swimming pool, wifi & self-catering facilities. The host is very friendly!

I have enjoyed two good nights sleep and am enjoying recovering from a lengthy medical testing procedure yesterday. Tomorrow I will be leaving after another good night's sleep and a satisfactory experience.

The host was amazing, she attended my to requests timely. Large pool to enjoy great for hot summer days, as an animal lover there were plenty to see from chickens, birds, and rabbits, as well as the family dog almost like a small zoo! Along with the affordable prices just couldn't complain. Keep it up!

The host was amazing, he was a very polite young Asian boy. The interior of the house was incredible it made me feel as if I was in magical getaway back in my hometown.

We arrived at 1.30 Friday 4th November for my wedding for a 3 night stay. When we arrived they let us know sewerage problems andthey had dug up at back of house and down the side. The entire place in and out stunk of sewerage. When we asked Monica 3 times and thus being 3hours later it won’t take long. In the meantime we had people coming and going through the property and people looking through the fence and gate that connected the property. We were given some spray(smelly) but didn’t mask the sewerage smell. The problem was fixed by 6-7pm. We were asked if would like a coffee for our troubles. They had a dog next door that kept barking as us girls x4 of us were sitting outside by the pool having a few drinks I did shout out about the dog. At 4am in the morning the roosters in the property behind started cookoooing which woke us up. I had a wedding to go to at 3pm. So no sleep After the wedding which I wanted to leave at 9pm cause I had a headache from being so tired and my eyes were hanging. Get back to the unit and the dog starts barking intimitedly all night. Wake up next morning to roosters crowing we cleaned up and left
