Just wow! My partner and I both got the cray with the eye fillet and it’s definitely worth the $$! This was definitely a special dinner and I highly recommend treating yourself to this dish. Atmosphere is great.

My husband and I had a really enjoyable lunch at Mures Upper Deck today!We were gifted a voucher and utilised it for our first ‘date day’ in a year (we have a baby and a toddler so getting out alone isn’t easy!). First, I’d like to say that the service was excellent. We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner and our wait staff were very attentive. Good service makes a world of difference when eating out. It may be another day’s work to the staff, but for us, who rarely get out at this point in our lives, it gave us such a special experience.We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and really couldn’t fault them. The serving sizes were very generous. For Entree we shared the the pepper berry cured salmon, crispy marinated mushrooms with shiitake powder, and semolina crispy fried squid. All dishes were delicious and very filling. For main I had the seafood chowder and my husband had panko and almond crumbed blue eye. The chowder was creamy and full of seafood. It was on the menu as an entree serve but they offered the option of a main serve (which I had). I think it was very generous and an entree serve would easily be enough. We then shared the pavlova for dessert. It was absolutely delicious!!I think the only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is the restaurant was looking a bit tired. It would benefit from new dining chairs and the skirting boards need a clean/paint. The wall near us had some splatter marks. Apart from that, it was very clean and the restrooms were exceptionally so which reflects well on the restaurant.

What an incredible meal! Held a small function for 25 here, and it was absolutely brilliant. Food came out at one time, instead of one person finished and others just starting. Staff super helpful. Setting just beautiful. And the food itself was just SUPERB. If I didn't live in Melbourne I'd be here far too regularly!Thankyou very much for helping our night be just perfect!!

Servings were big, however fish and chips were average and have had better and fresher seafood elsewhere. There are lots of seating here and views of the water.

We went to the Upper Deck as one of our many restaurants meals in Hobart this December 2022 and were looking forward to a great meal at a FAIR price.We had …the Chowder - which was good and at $22 was great value !The Laksa - which was fabulous and extremely tasty and for $38 a great mealAndThe Half Cray & Salad - which was Basic and extremely underwhelming - and at $120 NOT Good OR Fair Value !!The lobster meat was removed from the shell and cut into the bite sized pieces and presented in the half shell …BUT not all of the extracted meat was returned !!Which to say the least is not what SHOULD happen!After eating what meat was provided … with the Roe and sauce and the salad …I enjoyed the balance of my wife’s laksa meal !!So NOT sated by the half cray !!When paying the bill I voiced my view to the manager and his response was to say the price is “market” and to discount our meal by $16!! effectively giving us some sparkling water for free !!Just Beware !!SEE Photos

We must have walked in at a busy time as we had to wait for a table. My aunt ordered a wine to have while we were waiting which was never provided. We had to ask for it again once we got to our table.The service was on the slow side. The food was fresh cooked and tasty, however I would not choose to eat here again with so many other options on the waterfront.

Definitely worth a visit. There are shared and individual meal options. Highly recommend the shared table (per head) if you’re looking for something special, which was a nice taster of 7-8 different items (see photos for each dish). The Tasmanian seafood spaghetti was absolutely perfect and our favourite! The fish was super soft on the inside and the flavours tasted amazing together. Make sure you book beforehand to ensure you have a table reserved (it gets busy fast from what we saw). And to top things off, there’s ice-cream downstairs if you’re looking for a sweet treat for yourself or the kids. Definitely kid friendly with a kids menu and a car park out the front. Entrance is on the right hand side up the stairs. Wheelchair lift is available if needed (see photos). And if you can, ask for a window seat that looks onto the water if you’re going for a more intimate feel.

My family and I had a gorgeous evening last night at Mures Upper Deck. The wait staff were incredibly helpful and attentive and the food was top notch! Beautiful oysters prepared three ways, I had a lovely Trevalla and the others had seafood linguine which was apparently delicious. A lovely experience, having fresh seafood when visiting Hobart. Wonderful food, presented beautifully and very tasty! The staff member who gave my children colouring-in sheets was awesome! Good job!The table service however was a little slow for a Monday night (restaurant wasn’t overly busy). There seemed to be a big time gap between entree and mains.We weren’t offered tea or coffee with our desert and we also weren’t asked at any stage if we wanted more drinks? My other suggestion would be to improve the lightning in the restaurant - the lights within the fish are cool, but not very practical for giving light?! It was very dark until someone opened a blind and then it was way too bright.
