Terrible. Bread is basic quality. Savoury items use cheap ingredients & the bread is high in sugar. Sausage roll was definitely 2-3 days old & reheated, pastry not flaky as it should (which means it was definitely reheated), meat had no taste other than salt & pepper, filled with sinew. I thought I’d give them a chance again after the salmonella I contracted when they first took over the bakery a few years back when the insides of their savoury roll filled with bacon (spam), cheese, onion & capsicum). Looks like nothing’s changed in the last 5 years. If you’re after a loaf of bread, go to Aldi, or if you’re after a snack try any of the fresh takeaways or cafes near by

Yummy good old bakery!! Somewhat wheelchair accessible, the store is on a hill so entrance is on an angle with a slight lip on it. Delicious bread and sweets!

What a treat (excuse the pun) to find this bakery today. I bought most delicious donut for my daughter here today. We will be back. It is so nice to visit a proper, classic bakery

Freshly baked breads

Hidden little gem. The bread here is so fresh and delicious. Great range of pies, pastries and cakes also. Get there at 6 when they open because nothing beats a croissant or pastry freshly baked. One of the best bread shops in the Eastern suburbs.

Good bakery, only accepts cash - no cards. The Australia Post 30 meters down the road can do cash out on major credit cards.

Malabar Hot Bread Shop are very generous in helping the community as well as their products are delicious and fresh daily ...our favorites are the hot cross buns / the custard tart and fresh cream items and the apple pies are devine ! They have an incredible range & variety of yummy food & the bread is tasty and fresh ...well worth the visit x
