Loea Hotel

We stayed here for a couple of nights after five nights camping so it was a very welcome rest to have some basic comforts. The room is tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable.We enjoyed the pool and outdoor area to read and relax. It’s not clear on the website but this is an old motel converted into high end accommodation and with that comes traffic noise due to the proximity to the main road so there is a limit to how much you can truly relax.Very small gripes are that there is nothing to hold the front door open, no toilet brush and the hot and cold tap in our room was plumbed up back to front.Otherwise a very comfortable stay.

I don't even have the words to describe how amazing and tranquil this hotel - The photos do not do it justice!! Booked a one night stay for a relaxing girls weekend and relaxing was exactly what it was. We can't wait to go back!!The service, the atmosphere, the rooms and the location, everything was just perfect :)

If I could give 0 stars I would.The worst hospitality and customer service you will ever receive. I had a small wedding booked here and loved the look of the place. At the time of booking, everyone seemed so pleasant and willing to help.Until money was exchanged.I Didn’t realise that the management would then do everything in their power to make sure that the occasion would be as restricted as possible. No matter what we wanted to do we were met with a smug sneer. We had certain agreements in writing and that still didn’t stop them from changing their minds. Then after we had spent our time and money flying from Victoria to plan and organise the big day. They decided to change their mind on absolutely everything!We were no longer allowed live music.We were no longer allowed to music of any kind past 8pm.We were no longer to be on the premises outside of our rooms past 8pm.We were no longer allowed bar service.We weren’t allowed access to shelter, power or water for our caterer.They even lied about when their liquor license ran to!Some occasion this was going to be.4 of our vendors came to the venue and all 4 of them asked if we were sure we wanted to go ahead after meeting them.My wife was beside herself. Calling them in tears, asking if they were going to cancel the biggest day of her life?“We would never cancel on you”But I’d had enough, I pushed back and asked why they even let us book in the first place if they were going to back out of every agreement. We were met with a “how dare you, maybe we don’t even want your booking!”Finally, after they promised they would never, they canceled our reservation 6 weeks out.The silver lining in all this, we found another venue and the wedding was perfect. No thanks to this lot. We never received an apology or reparation for lost time, effort or money. Only the pleasure of being blocked from their social media which is why I find myself here today.Basically Chris and Wendy were awful to deal with and speaking to locals and our wedding vendors it seems they have rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way. We also reached out to a previous couple who had a wedding there the month before and apparently Chris had nearly got into a fight with the father of the bride.

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful hotel as a way of inspiration for an apartment that we are furnishing. It was so lovely and stylish! The service was also amazing, we borrowed some of the bikes and went for a bike ride, about 20 mins ride away my wife got a flat tyre, she called the manager who then came to our rescue and drove to us with another bike and took the flat one. We were so grateful to be able to continue our journey on the bikes! We will definitely be back!

The place is very neat, super clean and well appointed. Furniture, appliances and fittings were new, modern and high quality. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pool was bright and the little cocktail bar serves cool drinks in the afternoons and coffee in the mornings. Were made use of the free bicycles to ride up and down the riverfront. I can highly recommend this place.

unfortunately not a pleasant experience for us. We came across this boutique hotel and pulled in to see if they had any accommodation for the night. While the manager was checking, we got out of the car and sat under the umbrella and was very much enjoying the cool breeze after being in the car for a while on a very hot day. Also thinking we could enjoy a cocktail from the cute caravan converted to a bar. The manager came back but was unable to help us with accommodation so we were checking where we could go next when she asked us to leave. My husband said we will only be a minute, we are not sure where we are going – she was talking over the top of him saying this is private property and she will call the police if we don’t leave. Again my husband said we are leaving we just need to find out where we are as. Again she spoke over the top of him and said get off my private property, I’m calling the police etc, etc, etc. I get this was a hot weekend, I do not understand the over the top rudeness. In my opinion there was nothing hospitable about her behaviour.

I stayed at this place with my family recently and I would recommend to everyone to STEER CLEAR! The management in this hotel is rude, abusive and there is no professionalism whatsoever! They will try and charge you for extras and cleaning when they don't even try to help you resolve issues with the unit. The manager was horrible to me! I would give this place a 0 if I could, not catering for children at all.

I don't usually take the time to write a bad review, however I couldn't believe the experience I had and I still haven't even stayed here! I called to book for this weekend for one night. I speak to Wendy who says that they are all booked, but that she will call me if a cancellation happens. This morning I get a call to say that someone had cancelled and that I have a room for Saturday night. I made a few plans to see family and I was really looking forward to a night in a hotel after a long week. I get a call at 7:15pm - the night before - to say that the cancellation has been revoked due to some error in the system and that she's given the room back to those people as they still want it. I now have to cancel all of the plans I had made. I was offered a refund of what I paid which I took, but all I can say is that this was extremely unprofessional. I asked to speak to the owners or anyone above the managers and was told that 'this is why they have the managers, so they don't have to deal with any hassles'. I will never stay here now that I know how upper management works. You charge the amount of a 5-star hotel but offer 1-star customer service.

One of the best few nights away we have had in yearsRooms are beautiful.Pool area is great.The manager Rhonda is a delight.Taking the bikes for a ride at sunset was amazing.It’s 10mins from sunshine plaza.10mins from good foodWe will be back this year!
