Pie in the Sky Roadhouse

A must try! These are the best pies I have had. Proper meat filling with a buttery, flakey pastry. The chilli beef was sold out so went for the pepper steak and was not disappointed.

Portion sizes of every item are incredibly large.Chili steak - heat from the pie enhanced the heat from the chili, making my mouth warm and toasty but not searing hot. Chunky bits of meat were well cooked along with the pastry was well buttered. The pie served a wonderful fragrance coming out of the shop and was still piping hot!Have the pie with a bottle of cider from one of the neighbouring apple cider farms. It went down a treat!Line of 40+ people was served with great speed and diligence.We drove past after going to 'Mountain Bells Cafe', with another line of 50+ people.Outside sitting area was a welcome change to the cold weather.Especially with all the dusty brown tree leaves, and leaveless trees in the background reminding us of the nature of the surroundings, that Australia is such a land of contrast with Blue Mountains in the alpine region and the more suburban areas down below.Homemade marmalade - apple jelly, lime marmalade, seville marmalade, nectarine jam all look incredibly inviting. I didn't buy any though, not a fan.

This pie shop has some of the best tasting pies you’ll ever have. The only downside about this shop is that if you come too late they sell out of there pies so I would recommend coming earlier than lunch. Other than that, the pies here are some of the best you’ll have.

Was told this place has one of the best apple pie in Bilpin. Ordered the Family Size apple pie, some meat pies.Apple pie was just out of this world. Flaky dough, the sweetness of the apple is just too good. We ended up buying another 3 family size apple pies home.Will definitely get back here again

The Apple pies are very good but I'm not sure they're worth an hour + wait. If the line is out the door expect to wait this long and longer if they've run out, by the time you get to the counter. It is great that they are constantly baking on site, you are guaranteed freshness. Perhaps if they had EFTPOS, the line would move faster. Overall an enjoyable stop but lost a lot of time here on a busy public holiday.

Unpleasant pies and they don’t take eftpos. They take PayID and cash only.We came around 10am to grab a pie, it’s very rundown. They need to clean the outside tables. The person taking orders didn’t add the coffee onto my order. The owner has little aggressive dogs that are off leash. We came with our fur baby on a leash and her dogs can over to ours and the little white dog tried to bite us.

Today we ordered black pepper pie, mushrooms and steak pie.The pie is cruncy outside and moist inside, with generous filling of big chunk beef. Ilike the black pepper steak than the mushrooms and steak.

Quality pies - meat and apple crumble particularly. Wasn’t so keen on the chicken, but this is good quality food. Staff exceptional on a busy and sunny Sunday.
