Great coffee and cake shop with service to table. Indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating adjacent to car park and while pleasantly decorated with foliage still suffers from exhaust fumes from cars. Coffee was nice and cakes ordered were very much enjoyed.

One of my go-to cafes in Port Macquarie, whenever I’m in town I like to visit. Friendly, efficient staff, a good menu range and a huge cake cabinet. What’s not to like? This morning I ordered the salmon benny, which was good, but today the eggs were slightly over cooked for my liking. I know some people prefer it this way, so it wasn’t a big deal. Still, I’ll be back again next time I’m in town!

Exquisite decadent desserts, good coffee and brilliant service. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to select from the huge range and do not rush just enjoy. My gorgeous fiance had the spinach and feta parcel, l managed to sneak a bite before he devoured it. Deliciously scrumptious! Perhaps save the walk to the lighthouse afterwards, to walk off that full belly.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming little cake shop, and I must say, it was an experience that left my taste buds dancing with joy.The selection of cakes on display was simply marvellous.The service at the cake shop was exceptional. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist.The only reason I haven't been awarded a full five-star rating is the slightly higher price range compared to other cake shops in the area.

We went to Bitter Sweet after a walk along the beach. The food is really good and tasty. We had the chicken burger, eggs Benny, salt and pepper squid with salad and vege quiche.The service was good and quick.Must visit if you're near Lighthouse Beach.

Discovered this little gem via Google maps after giving a local beachside cafe the flick. Fabulous food, generous servings and a whole cabinet of home made treats to choose from. The waitresses did a great job - prompt service with a smile.

High standard of food and service - great location. The menu has many delicious savoury options for breakfast, brunch & lunch. And if you are a sweet tooth - you will lose your mind when you see the selection of cakes made fresh on the premises. I have eaten at Bittersweet hundreds of times and I have never been disappointed. Highly recommend.

My favourite Coffee shop in the Port Macquarie region. It has the best Cappuccino’s, Milk is nice and frothy and has excellent brand of Coffee beans. Great and friendly staff. The staff is well trained in the art of coffee making and the standard is well maintained no matter who is making the coffee.
