Atricom Apartments

It is with great disappointment that I am writing this complaint with regards to the accommodation that I booked for my family (11 pax) in Stanthorpe from 15 Jan to 17 Jan 2021.I booked apartment and given was a single dwelling unit.On the day of check in, I realised the cleanliness of the house was not a 100% as the TV unit was really dusty. The entire house was so hot, but when I turned on the air-conditioning in the hall, only had hot air coming out. To make it worse, there were no fans in the rooms which made the rooms really stuffy. I know there were windows but we didn’t get much breeze come in.I then contacted you and you mentioned that you will try and get the fans but didn’t get any updates from you. My family had to turn on the air-con in their cars just to keep themselves cool. I tried to get another accommodation but everything was fully booked as we had a bigger group. By this time, my family was really frustrated because we had an elderly mum with us, I ended up buying 3 fans as we had no choice but to stay at your accommodation. I know you provided another 2 fans the next day but we couldn’t wait longer.Another incident on the night of 15 Jan was the smoke alarm in the first room on the right started beeping every 20 mins, started at midnight and went on till 4.30am. This destroyed our sleep and we were struggling to stop the beeping. Another frustrating night for all of us.The next day on the 16th Jan, tried to use your dryer but your dryer was faulty because couldn’t dry the clothes that we had washed hence our frustration continued.Last but not least, when you have advertised a five star accommodation, I expect the amenities in the facility to be up to standard , unfortunately your accommodation had too many issues to be rated as a five-star and therefore I will have to provide a honest review for your accommodation.The entire experience kind of ruined our vacation and would greatly appreciate if you could compensate part of my payment as my family didn’t get to experience the “5 star” luxury accommodation that you have claimed.I feel I have been misled by the reviews in your website.Thanks

We loved our stay with Atricom Apartments! Our apartment was super clean, spacious, had everything we needed and was so close to everything. And Tony himself was so lovely to deal with and the check in process was so easy. Thank you for our stay and we will definitely be back in the future!

We stayed in the four bedroom unit and it was great for 8 adults and a baby. Great central location too. The house was fairly warm in winter, but wouldn’t recommend staying in summer as no air conditioning in the bedrooms.

There were just a few finishing touches missing really. Things like its advertised with a spa, the spas have been removed, missing towel racks and missing soap holders. More concerning, and reason for the 3 stars is that the garage door opener for unit 1 opens the garage door for unit 3, which we discovered when unlocking our garage door. Security wise not a big deal, as the garage door side of the internal door is missing a door handle, so if its closed you can't access the house, couldn't confirm the same for unit 3. Just a few finishing touches, unrepaired or partially repaired damage, then it would be back to a really quality level of accommodation.

We recently stayed at a 4 bedroom apartment there. It was winter. There was only one portable heater and the main aircon in the living room. There are small stand fans in the rooms but they will not be useful if it is winter. If it is summer, again it will be quite hot as the rooms are small.The gas stove didn’t have the gas stove rims and thus they were not useable at all.The linens are clean but the furniture were dusty.The kitchen didn’t have enough kitchen wear for more than 2 people.We were fine as we needed just one bed room and didn’t really cook.All in all, if you have other options, don’t choose this apartments. They are doable but not very convenient.

These apartments have amazing potential! Don't get me wrong, the space was massive, good size bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds. We stayed in the 4 bedroom Unit, and we were very disappointed in the lack of cleaning that was was done. Cuboards were filthy, cooking Utencils and cook and bakeware was dirty, stained and dirty furniture, alot of dust and cobwebs both inside and out, stove not working - needs a lighter to work. Range hood light and fan not working. Definitely could of done with electric blankets, especially with Stanthorpes cold winters, the the portable heaters were pretty good as a alternative solution. Unfortunately it definitely does not meet the 5 star deluxe apartment" advertised let alone the price. Not sure about the other apartments

Not 5 Star.  Not air conditioned.  The living area had one tiny A/C unit that would not cool a broom closet let alone an entire apartment - if it was even working that is, which it was not.  It just blew hot air directly down if you stood under it.  No A/C in the bedrooms so even if the unit had been functioning it would never have cooled any of the bedrooms.  Owners need to either install a decent sized A/C that can cool the entire apartment or add units to each bedroom.  Ridiculous!  I was there in January and it was incredibly hot and muggy weather.  Just awful without A/C. No coffee plunger just International Roast sachets.  International Roast coffee!!!  Even a 3 star Motel would offer better coffee.  I wonder if the owners have actually ever stayed in 5 Star accommodation? The rooms, beds and bathrooms are nice and comfortable.  Owners just need to get the A/C situation sorted and add a few necessities in the kitchen and this place would be just great.

Stayed in a 3 Br apartment for 2 nights. Linen and couch were clean. Wifi was good. TV huge. En-suite bathroom was clean. Kitchen and main bathroom were not clean. Cobwebs in main bathroom. Kitchen appliances were filthy, fat spattered on walls. Microwave and sandwich maker not clean. Kitchen was under equipped - missing basics (not enough cutlery for 4 people). Windows were all filthy, like they hadn’t been cleaned since the place was built. Several light bulbs not working. We would not recommend staying here.
