Wayville Sports Centre

Parking is expensive here, courts are pretty good.

I have visited this place,once a year for the Royal Adelaide Show for my Dog Club Champ Shows. It seems that I have gotten use to all the barking & the accustics. Last year that it rained on the first Friday and it just stopped in early afternoon. The drainage system needs improving,like bigger sumps near the main doorway. The rest of the week was good. Our Dog Club was successful & more Ribbons,Rosettes & points to our Club. I hope this year(2019) would be better & the weather a bit more warmer. The Basketball court needs Air Conditioning or more air vents near the roof-line. Please fix this sm problem b4 the next Royal Show in September.

Very disappointing at Wayville’s management and staff (referees). We’ve had a bad game last week, conflicts arises with one of the referee who has been unfairly treat us for many season, and last week I lost it after been holding for all these time.This week before the game even start We’ve been threatened by one of the referee ( who was not even in our game the week before) and I can ensure you it is purely personal stuff.We’ve putting email after email, for simple complaints not to be umpire by that particular referee. Guess what! The management simply ignored all of it.Well, we spend hundreds of dollar to enrol to play, dedicated our time to participating in game every week, in the end of the day we get treated like ash....We all in our 30’s just wanna gather the boys have some exercise perhaps some fun, Sigh.....Anyway I’m not personal on anyone simply expressing own feeling on here.Good luck and have fun to all player at WayvilleGG

What an awesome venue.. So much to see & enjoy. Hands down the way to go is to prebuy tickets from a FOODLAND store and catch public transport to Adelaide a train Station then the Blair train (second stop is the Adelaide Showgrounds) The entertainment in the hall was top grade!

Good sports centre particularly for basketball with stadium seating and cafe. Used as dog pavilion during the show.

Never understood why it always seems 5 degrees colder INSIDE Wayville Sports Centre than out, but only in winter. It's a cool venue, in every sense, when the roof isn't leaking. (Then again, maybe the tarps will work!) Otherwise, it's accessible and ok for casual shooting during the day.

One of their referees treated us extremely unfair for every single season we played, as we played multiple seasons. We can’t figure out why. We come here playing basketball for exercise and relaxing from jobs. It turns out we got so upset and disappointed when that referee was on our court. He may has some personal issues with us or just generally racism to asian people. I hope it’s the previous reason. We have reported this issue to the management team of wayville sports center many times. They just ignored our complaints. We are here paying a lot of money for sports, not for humiliation. What’s the point of playing in Wayville. We have done playing here. Hopefully, there will be no unfair treatment happen for any other players who will play in Wayville in the future. One of best stadiums in Adelaide. Open for casual shooting most days for a $5 flat fee. Not open as often as it used to be, but bang for buck it's still the cheapest and excellent courts and rims.
