Nice spot for a picnic / fish. It needs a loo, though.

Nice and peaceful place for a shaded picnic. Some people and kids go in the medium- to -shallow waters for a swim but if you don't mind the slight merky water from the side river that joins the Tumut or the ponds that join the two. Caught a decent size carp from the red foot bridge on a fly and released it.

The Junction is always a perfect spot on a hot day. Where the Goob meets the Tumut River, its dog Friendly and a great place to put in a Kayak before heading down stream on the Tumut to town. Best pick up point is the race course where you can pop in to the Riverside Cafe for a feed after 40minutes on the river.

Well cared for park, the volunteers that mow here do such a great job. The park is great for picnics, fishing, swimming, etc. access to fast flowing Tumut river and slower little river.

Family friendly location overlooking the picturesque Tumut River. The creek side is great for a swim as the river itself is much cooler and fast flowing. Fishing is great in trout season. Parks are immaculately maintained by local volunteers.

Beautiful, clean park by the river. Plenty of birdlife. Great swimming hole and perfect spot to let the dogs have a splash too!

Once I got there I could see in so many ways why this place could be a good day-out with family or friends. It is a nice secluded area with an ample space for a picnic and a splash in the water. It is a dog friendly as long as (of course) clean after them. For those who loves to go on a kayak/canoe adventure, Junction can be a good starting point so that you can finish up on the other side of Tumut. Or you could end up at Wagga Wagga.
