As a gift I wanted to buy an open return ticket from Sydney to Hobart on Qantas with cash.The Qantas website does not accept cash or BPAY, and reservations must have dates.I took the train to the airport to buy at the Qantas ticket counter. There are no ticket staff at the airport.I called the QF number and waited 3 (three) hours before the connection dropped out.I called again and have been on hold now for 2 hours.I do understand that Covid has disrupted lots of business, however, I’m eager to spend money and Qantas has made it impossible for me.The customer service folks have been laid off and unavailable to help.What is senior management and the CEO doing?
