Resource Recovery Centre

Great staff in the waste recycling centre, friendly and helpful. 3 stars reflects I can't recycle pot plant bases, wsc recommend putting them into general rubbish, when are going to stop putting mountains of plastic into landfall??? It's terrible in this day and age this is still happening. I found out our local cafe also does not have commercial recycling available, that's mountains of plastic, all those milk bottles! That's unacceptable, wsc please do something about this

They have a bit of everything and well priced

Relatively cheap compared with other waste disposal places where I have lived previously. A lot of options to take recycling there free of charge also which is great.

This place is the Wingecarrabee Shire Council, and the council will let there council workers earn lower pay amounts to suit their interests and investments in people from other places.Basically anyone from eastern suburbs or north shore Sydney. We have so called 'green bins and our rate gets higher at the tip.It is a councils existence to remove rubbish after the rates are payed. Its not a good place for any truth about where your rates go.Thank someone that Gair and Turland have been removed from a dogy free for all. I remember going to the tip and dumping green waste for and picking up a load if mulch for free on the way out.Thats what a council does!!!

I dropped off a printer and a monitor (to be recycled) and was charged 60kg of general waste ($28).It seems that there is limited recycling occurring here. Also, it’s obvious that weigh bridges are not calibrated.Disappointed knowing that this place is run by the council!

Not impressed wanted $30 for second hand shower chair.

The Resource Recovery Centre is well set up. We delivered sheets of corrugated iron. From the gate through to the metal section, staff were very polite and very helpful.

Been here a few times and there's always something new to find, something to provide a bit of artistic inspiration, or something to add that finishing touch to a project. The staff are always friendly, and willing to provide any assistance necessary. The only reason I don't go there more often is because there are often too many curios and trinkets, and not enough projects to use them on. All council areas should have a place like this attached to their waste management sites.
