Loved spending the day at Kilcunda. We walked from the carpark of I think the first beach and then walked around the rocks that looked like an elephant. Before the tide came back in. Then walked up to where the Trestle Bridge is, got on the trail and walked along there for a while. Beautiful place and easy to miss if you drive past. But we’ll worth stopping and exploring

Beautiful part of the Bass Coast. Easy access to the various beachs from the rail trail. Great place to bring the family and let the kids explore the rock pools while you cast a line into the surf.

Parked near the bridge and walked to the beach (only 5 mins,). Found a shady spot off to the right in a cave. We walked across the incredible rock pools around the point to Kilcunda Beach which was much calmer for the kids to swim.

I love visiting this beach. Whilst it is not the prettiest beach, the best swimming beach, the best sand, or really the absolute best anything, it does offer diversity when exploring, and I love that. I always find something different when I visit.Unusual rock formations, lovely flora that defies the harsh conditions, hooded Plovers and other beautiful birds, sea anemones and seaweed gardens in the rockpools and a magnificent vista of constantly rolling waves crashing in from Bass Strait. Not everyone will appreciate Kilcunda Beach, but I am glad I can.
