Hung Mechanic Repair

This workshop is not reliable and untrustworthy.I Know Vietnamese owner through a mutual friend. He bought write off car, repair and sell to customers who know nothing about car and they end up with countless repairs in this workshop.Last April 2021, my regular workshop is closed and my Lexus due for service and I have long trip to go. I end up with his workshop which open on weekend and I repeated asked him whether he can do my car for service or I find another shop and he swear he have 40 years as mechanic and he can do all cars. I allowed him for service like changing engine oil and filter, check brake pad and clean cabin filter. He asked cash money and won't give receipt. when I asked, he write on his workshop sticker and stick inside windscreen incluede with next due date, KM and oil filter change. After a month later, while I drive on regional freeway, my car suddenly stop and engine cannot start. I tow back to Melbourne and check with VACC certified workshop. Workshop reported that Engine is siege because of wrong oil grade/ oil type. I contact Hung and asked what engine oil he used in my car but he hung up the call. repeatedly contacted but no reply received. I contact to VACC but his workshop is not VACC certified and they can't help.Now I'm proceeding with Consumer affair and others legal authority for his unprofessional and negligence action.I strongly suggest whoever want to deal with this workshop, think again and stay away as far as possible. You can save a few in beginning but end up with a huge loss.
