Amazingly food , the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the chef was on point! The food was above par! This restaurant is decently priced and the food exceeded the cost! No other restaurant on that street can say the same , we have tried them all

From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Received wonderful table service which made out lunch date perfect. We ate from the vegan menu and it was honestly the best vegan food we have had in Mackay! Made us so happy. So delicious and full of flavour. Thank you for such a great experience, will definitely be making Moss on Wood a regular outting from now on.

When you arrive there is a sign advising that they will seat you. Waited for many minutes before the bar staff said seat yourself.Ordered meal and 50 minutes later were given complementary nibbles (which were Luke warm) and advised they were running behind.Not impressed

Breakfast was dismal burnt toast hard packed eggs service was nice but was not worthy $40 for bacon and banana bread. Go to ninth lane instead

Beautiful looking cafe.I had the chilli scrambled eggs and my partner had the big breakfast.The chilli scramble was yum but lacked a little in flavour.My partner wasn't a fan eggs were very vinegary and oily sidesCoffee was beautiful

Walked out after waiting to be seated for 5 minutes, then waiting 18 minutes to order. Only 1 other couple in the restaurant at the time.Went to coffee club next door instead, cheaper and much better service.

An interesting place to eat that is to say good and bad.The food is great.The service is a little disorganised my tip is order a drink as soon as you get directed to to a table as it is a long time between table service.The food seemed to sit on the pass for a while.

Stopped here for lunch on Sunday. First time. Wanted to check it out. Can't fault the food but $20 each for melon patch drink is a bit excessive. Definitely soured the experience. Not sure what's in this drink to make it so expensive? Don't think we will be back.

Interesting venue that changes from a cafe during the day to a bar at night. Nice vibe particularly with the outdoor seating.
