We are in the final weeks of completing our building project with Seabreeze, consisting of two homes in Byron Bay. We are so grateful for their guidance and industry experience. The build has taken place over the last two years, which have been so tumultuous in the building industry and at every step they were able to find solutions to the sometimes challenging and complex issues arising at the time.Joel in particular, cares deeply for his clients and worked so hard for us to find the best way forward when something unforeseen popped up. His considerable number of local contacts steered us through many issues with the council and he often found creative solutions. He connects people together with ease and always took time to reassure us as we were new to the whole process. Peter allowed us to bring our own elements into the project and source them separately which sometimes created extra work from them. The team in the office, including Dani, were so thoughtful and explained options thoroughly. She also listened compassionately to us when we got frustrated.The team at Seabreeze went beyond what they needed to do to help us achieve the result we hoped for within our budget and although it was not always smooth and easy, we alway felt a great sense of trust that we all wanted the same result. Our homes are beautiful and we will be forever grateful to all the carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc who Seabreeze brought into our path. Thank you.

Thank you Seabreeze, we are absolutely in love with our new and beautiful home. We are so happy with how it looks and feels and with the quality of all the finishes. With lots of visitors already, it is nice to hear all of the comments on how fantastic the finishes are in comparison to their newly built houses with other builders. Antony in sales is an absolute asset to the Seabreeze team, we were actually building with a local franchise builder until we met with Antony and then it was an easy decision to build with Seabreeze. His knowledge is outstanding and the tips he gave us on making our home perfect for 'our' requirements were very beneficial. The flexibility building with Seabreeze is awesome, we felt very involved with the whole process. Antony continued to work on every little detail to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. So thank you to Peter, Antony, Glenn, Sam (who I had regular contact with and was a huge help towards the end of the build), Melissa and team for all the time put into making the experience of building our first home an enjoyable one. DO NOT USE SEABREEZE HOMES. We engaged Seabreeze Homes 1st July 2022 to build a duplex property end-to-end (using their Architect, Engineers, building suppliers, Conveyancers & Certifiers) via CDC to a budget of $1.2M maximum. Seabreeze Homes assured us that the Architects Plans would be provided via CDC within 3 months, that we’d start building before Christmas (within budget) and be complete within 40 weeks.None of these assurances were met but we were convinced that the project was moving along as planned within the time frame first promised to us and we would be “turning soil” on January 17th 2023.Despite our repeated request to keep the total project build total maximum of $1.2M, and repeated assurances from Seabreeze that they would achieve this, Seabreeze homes oversaw the development of plans which were too large (based on their $2750 square meter charges) and too highly specced (with voids, skylights, finishes etc) for our budget.In November ’22, Seabreeze requested that we pay $4,000 to quote the job (which we paid), after having paid $27K for Designer/Architect Fees, Engineering & Basix for a project that we were never going to be able to afford to build.As our start deadline of January 2023 came & passed we were repeatedly lied to with multiple meetings cancelled, phone calls & emails not returned from Joel which created a lot of stress and sleepless nights for us.In February 2023 (1 month after we were promised that building would have started) Seabreeze advised that they had made quite a few “errors” and had “no excuses” as the size of the plans were too large & specification of the property were too high. They proposed to remove all heating & air-conditioning, remove any landscaping, requote/provide basic plumbing fixtures/lights/fans/tiles/door hardware/white goods. After these amends were made, they provided a quote for $1,417,353. And advised that the project would be some months away from being certified for CDC. Our 2 main requirements of a quick build within budget were over promised and never met.Seabreeze oversaw the development of a project that was too big (despite repeated assurances of our $1.2M budget), too expensive, poorly specced (eg removal of heating & a air-conditioning) and 6+ months behind schedule.They repeatedly lied, covered up & broke promises throughout.This has now meant that we have incurred holding costs of the land circa $45K, have paid for Architects plans, engineering & basix that are useless and had to pay $4,000 for them to quote.Seabreeze had a obligation to us to use their expertise to identify that this project was never going to be feasible and on time.

We have recently finished our build with Sea Breeze Homes. Turning soil early second quarter last year, it was & still is, a very volatile time to build, for both consumer & industry.Due to the drastic increases in materials & labour, we got to the point where we did not think we were going to be able to build our dream home. Heartbreaking, given we had invested a lot of money and time into custom plans.We decided to approach Sea Breeze after seeing some of their builds around the area. Joel being our first point of contact, was brilliant & very generous with his time to discuss our circumstances. We met with Peter & Joel & they were equally as excited about our design as we were.Peter & Joel went to great lengths to guide us through & explain how we could achieve the overall aesthetics of our design but also be realistic on what we would need to compromise or hold back on to complete it. Peter even offering flexibility to supply some items directly to help us get over the line.Due to the time in which we built, we did face variations that increased our budget but these where always clearly outlined and transparent so we could make informed decisions and adjustments if needed & it paid off.Peter’s experience in the industry is evident and without that, we could have easily been one of the very unfortunate people that have had their builder cease operation mid-build or not had the funds to complete.We are so happy with our beautiful family home & very thankful to the Sea Breeze team for helping us achieve it!

A pleasure to build with this company. Peter Wilson the owner took time to answer our questions and any issues were dealt with in a timely manner. Tradesmen were very good also. Our new home was finished ahead of schedule and on budget. Would highly recommend building with Seabreeze Homes.
