First time at Mecca for dinner. First impression was the place badly needed a makeover! It just looked sad and gloomy inside. Bar looks miserable! Not enough options for drinks/mostly not available.Food was okay and was served hot and fresh off the oven. Could also use a menu revamp.Wait staff was efficient, could be a little friendlier though.

Pub food that was just OK.Although, Battered Scallops were soggy, the chips were OK but the salad was old and tired. Very similar to other reviews so might be something in soggy battered Scallops and tired old salad.The steak was OK but just OK had the vegetables with the steak and they were nice and crunchy and not overdone..All on all, it was a good meal but there are a lot better pub meals for the same price. I wouldn't rave about the food but been there done that so I'll try elsewhere.The staff were fantastic and friendly but it was obviously short staffed but allot of businesses are short staffed so the staff did a wonderful job, well done to them. Actually, the staff are the only reason we stayed

We had dinner about a week & a half ago & were extremely disappointed.We both ordered 2 scotch fillet steaks at $36 each and they were absolutely disgusting. Flavourless, overcooked & unseasoned.Our pepper sauce was just gravy with a few peppercorns thrown in.We rarely go on out, so it was very disappointing to spend so much money for a meal that we could have cooked better at home.The standards have definitely slipped from my last experience there many years ago. I won't go back.

scallops and vegetables omg never been shocked with anything i’ve ever been served got these pale things supposed to be batter that were wet and softand cold . with limp vegetables and at over 30 per serve i wasted money . half hearted service .if i hadnt picked them up and got home i would of took them back .only 2minutes up the road but would drive hours rather than go back this place used to be amazing but gone down hill

Epically terrible food. A risotto that bizarrely is more like porridge, pizzas straight out of the Coles box and vegetables that are obviously bird's eye. I'd nominate this place for Hell's Kitchen...

Just the average Joe.It wasn't the worst, but i definitely wouldn't give it more than an average" rating. The bruchetta was literally the poorest quality I have ever had

Fairly uninspired food... Wish more care and quality ingredients were used in the preparation of the dishes. This being said, nice space with ultra nice wait staff.

Both mine and my partners pastas were filled with oil. We were told it was because of the “bacon” in them but one didn’t even have bacon and was still absolutely filled with oil. My friend got the grilled chicken and was served with pink chicken instead. When we gave the meals back untouched we were still forced to pay for one of them. Absolutely terrible service from the owner, waiters were lovely but extreme disrespect from the owner. Definitely do not recommend unless you want food poisoning
