Whilst in Geelong for a week long business trip I was looking for a place to train. I went to DC Jujitsu a couple of times. They were very welcoming, friendly and open to a person from another club coming to train. It was a relaxed atmosphere with a knowledgeable instructor. From my brief experience of DC Jujitsu I would recommend it highly.

Having been training in bjj on and off for over a decade I can highly recommend DC Jiu Jitsu. Dan, the owner of the academy has an extraordinarily deep understanding of the theory and practice of the art which is backed up with outstanding results over his twenty plus years of competing at the highest levels of the sport.The atmosphere at the academy is very supportive and friendly. The more experienced students freely offer advice to the less experienced students on how to improve their game. Dan is continually looking for ways to improve the academy and provide a better service for the students.Dan is always willing to help his students on or off the mat. His attitude toward teaching and running the academy of fairly informal and he has built a family friendly atmosphere at the academy.I would highly recommend DC Jiu Jitsu to anyone who wants to take up or further themselves in the sport. Both my son and I train at DC Jiu Jitsu. I couldn't recommend this establishment more highly. Daniel Cherubin is an amazing and inspiring teacher. All the people are very welcoming and both the kids and adult classes are well structured for all skill levels.

Remembering the good times at DC. I remember when I first arrived in Geelong I was trying to find a good bjj gym. I tried Red Cats but didn't fit with me. I then tried DC and I knew instantly the level at DC was unmatched. It has a family friendly vibe, but still if you want to, you can become a competitor here. DC is an enigma. He is intelligent, agile like a ninja, and supportive like a father/big brother. I live in Melbourne now and train somewhere else, but I will never forget the family I made here.
