Platypus Retreat

Wonderful quiet rural location, set on acreage with a small stream flowing peacefully by, and only a few minutes from town, the comfortable home very well appointed, uniquely designed stone and log built accommodation. Boasting fabulous kitchen with deluxe barista coffee machine and included above average continental breakfast supplies, whilst catering for dietary requests.The friendly host ensured we enjoyed the natural surroundings describing the natural wildlife treats we would hopefully get to enjoy, which we did. Beautiful place in amazing spot with the perfect host and the most relaxing place. Very peaceful and tranquil and will definitely be back again as have already had multiple stays here.

Bungalow is located in a close proximity to Smithton town but it's very calm and peaceful surrounded by a good number of trees. So many wildlife to spot on and the host is very friendly. We had the whole bungalow to ourselves and it was one of the best accommodations we had.

This place is incredible! 2 yrs ago it was in ruins and what the new owner has done is nothing short of a miracle! It is indeed a retreat. Peaceful, comfortable and welcoming. You've got to check it out!!

A+++ from start to finish. One of the nicest accommodation I have stayed in during touring Tasmania. A great, friendly and welcoming owner, and above average continental breakfast. Definitely recommend as a base if you're exploring anywhere around the NW coast.
