Mount Evelyn Medical Surgery

I was desperate to have a doctor look at my 4 yo. At 5 pm on a Friday I had 9 different surgeries turn me away until I discovered these guys. The reception staff were so lovely and understanding and the doctor made time to see us and was incredibly helpful and kind. Will be taking my family here from now on.

Great Doctors, amazing care and wonderful admin/reception staff, they’ve all worked through the last exceptional years with such consideration for patients.

Some of the doctors are ok (theres also some i refuse to see), but my biggest fault with the clinic is the reception staff. Rude, abrupt and you have to stand in front of them for 5 minutes before they will even acknowledge your presence. Not even a hint of a smile. I'm there quite often, and it's the same coldness every time.

Admin staff are really nice however I gave this rating because in this day and age, one would expect you can attach files to an email and send it instead of having to pick up documents in person. Let’s make it happen guys, progression like this is essential in your sector. Thanks

Lovely reception staff, makes a big difference to the practice!Great experiences with several doctors at the practice especially dr mcnaught, couldn’t speak highly enough of her manner and thorough work ethic.Only lost a star as I found one nurse making comments not in her realm of expertise which would confuse most patients if they did not have a medical background.Overall great clinic!!!

Have been going since Tony started the practice and have seen doctors come and go and have always had a good rappart with any that have treated our family.

Complaint about (MT Evelyn medical surgery)Today 2/06/2022 I booked myself a mental healthcare plan appointment through there online booking system (HotDoc), the doctor I had family recommend me see wasn’t available till the 8/06/2022 so I booked anyway.The clinic call me to confirm my app, so I do! They then ask me if I was a existing patient I said no, they then said that’s strange as we already have your details in the system. Then they continued to tell me they are not taking new patients till end of June. So I was not able to go ahead with my mental healthcare plan.It was a big step for me to even book this appointment in hopes to find some well needed help and now I can’t even get myself the appointment (which was already available and not booked up with existing patients)This is not okay, I hardly ever go to the doctors and now having a reason needing to go and wanting good care and to see a doctor that one of my family members had recommended so I could work on my mental health I now have to put on hold to end of June for them to accept me into the clinic. This is poor and infact disgusting, mental health should be a priority and put with urgent (weather existing patient or not) if there are available appointments sitting there I should have been accepted to book without question!

UPDATE AUGUST 2019I have been seeing Dr Pal for a while now. I am in my late 20’s with complicated issues and he has not only been extremely patient but very thorough with all my symptoms. He has helped to diagnose many issues in a short time and some I’ve had for over 20 years. I could not recommend him enough. He is an extremely knowledgeable doctor and even with hard conversations like my weight he made me somehow feel comfortable.My wife still sees Dr Sun who is also brilliant! She is very great and makes you feel comfortable and in good hands every appointment.I would highly recommend Dr Pal and Dr Sun to anyone needing a good knowledgeable and caring Doctor.Unfortunately Dr Rawlin isn’t at the clinic anymore but they have many great Dr’s available.*UPDATED*I could not recommend Dr Rawlin and Dr Sun enough. I’ve never had or met such caring doctors. They are the new age Doctors and I am so grateful I have found such great GP’s!They are very knowledgeable and thorough on health in general and female health.

Reception staff are always friendly and welcoming - nice atmosphere - and the nurses and GP's very professional and well informed. More than happy with the way my health issues have been taken care of over the last 9 years. Other practises could learn a thing or two from Mt Evelyn Surgery.

Doctors are great, can’t fault them. Reception staff are always rude. Hardly even acknowledge you. Every single time.
