I have used Chris at FirstGen for a few years now, both in my business and my home, he has been a fantastic tradesman, has done his work properly, on time and under budget. If only other trades could follow his example.He has recently completed a custom fit out on a mobile darkroom for us and the results are amazing, to get it from concept to working in less then 48 hours with no plan was great! I urgently needed an Electrician to come out as we had lost power to half our house. I was recommended Chris from FirstGen Solutions. He came as soon as he could and diagnosed the problem straight away. Trying to get the job done as efficiently as possible to minimise cost, the work was completed in not only a timely manner but with a smart approach and extra care to ensure the problem would not occur again.I would and will highly recommend FirstGen Solutions for any electrical needs. They are professional, very reasonably priced and most importantly excellent and what they do.

I contacted Chris from FirstGenSolutions asking for a defective inverter to be changed with a new three-phase SMA inverter, that I had already purchased. On the phone, I was quoted around $700 in labour. This was followed by weeks of delays until I received a firm installation date on the 13th of October 2021. Instead of installing the new inverter on the day, Chris changed the appointment to a property inspection appointment costing me $199 and told me my eight year old quality Bosch solar panels needed to be replaced as well. I said I was only interested in replacing the inverter, upon which I was now quoted verbally a cost of $2’600 in labour and when the written quote came a couple of days later the cost of installing the new inverter, which I was supplying, was new $3’298.90. Together with the property inspection, I was expected to pay a total of $3’498.90 for the job. In the end, I went with Everything Electrics & Solar who charged me only $735 in labour and material and confirmed that our Bosch Solar Panels are fine for many years to come.Too many installers are not interested in repairing an existing system, it is more profitable for them to talk you into a completely new system, condemning the existing system to landfill. So much for the Green Energy Revolution! Be very wary of FirstGenSolutions and Chris’s practices!

I asked Chris to finish a few things off after I had been disappointed by another electrician. I was impressed that he arrived on time, the ease at which he completed my job, and his professional manner.Chris obviously enjoys what he does and it shows in his quality of work and in the way he relates to his clients; I felt valued and he genuinely wanted to complete my jobs to my satisfaction.I will be using him again and would recommend him to others.

Chris came and looked at our solar system today. The system was installed by Solar Naturally August 2019. They left broken roof tiles that they refuse to replace. They cut off the sewer roof vent pipe and left it laying on the roof. Wrong wiring that Chris replaced. Now Solar Naturally are saying that if I buy tiles to replace the ones they broke they will fit them and fix the vent pipe. Does that sound like blackmail or ????. A licensed plumber has to be used. They should take a lot of lessons from Chris on how to fix solar problems and also how to treat customers. He would have to be the best person that I have had so far, work wise, thorough, and well mannered.

I was very impressed with Chris's service and professionalism during the build of my new home. Chris quote was very detailed and there was no extra costs. Chris's expertise in designing the electrical layout and selection of feature lighting was much appreciated. When there was a few delays in the construction process Chris was more than happy for a return trip to site to finish the work, As an owner builder this was much appreciated.

Chris has installed ceiling fans, an oven and downlights for me on three separate occasions and I couldn't recommend him more. Will use him in the future if anything needs doing. He always shows up on time and there are no extra costs. Very happy with his service. Thanks
