Best sushi in Perth without a doubt. Fresh ingredients and tastes amazing. I personally have been coming here every Friday night for over 5 years.

Don't let the unassuming facade, kitsch Japanese figures or pressured tone of the owner fool you - this place is amazing. Fresh made, authentic Japanese cuisine. An easy five stars.

Hidden in the heart of Wembley, the Iron Chef Japanese restaurant will blow you away with the flavour of the food. The building although likely needing a revamp is non aggrandising and understated. It holds its authenticity to what you would expect on a small street corner restaurant in Japan.The sushi was some of the best I've ever had - each piece was expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. The Katsu Rice dish was also cooked to perfection, with a light and crispy batter.But what really sets this restaurant apart was the authenticity of the food, which, prepared by the restaurant's namesake chef, were nothing short of culinary magic. The ingredients were fresh and expertly combined to create taste sensations that are hard to come by in this neck of the woods.Overall, I would give the local iron chef Japanese restaurant in Wembley a solid 5 stars. It's definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for top-notch Japanese cuisine in the area if you can look past the dilapidated facade of the building.

The owner is a character. If you cannot handle his style of banter then you maybe offended. Food is authentic, fresh and tastes great.

For a local Japanese restaurant, if you're in the area you can get some simple Japanese food for takeaway here that hits the spot. Whilst the food isn't gourmet, it's prepared fresh with plenty of flavour for reasonable prices.As the store seems to be solely manned by the owner (he takes orders and cooks the food), it is a takeaway store, at least for now. What that also means is that customers are requested to order in advance (preferably at least an hour in advance, or even the day before if you want to be completely sure you get your order on time).They accept cash or else there's a 2% credit card surcharge.

Dated store, very to the point chef, amazing food.Good value for money with decent serving sizes and wonderful flavours.

Its been well over 10 years that I've been eating here.Still to this day crave the fresh 10 piece chicken sushi. Its the best you can get anywhere, hands down.The Yaki Soba is worth a try also.great man and worth supporting.

This place has the best teriyaki chicken sushi in Perth!! I stumbled across Iron Chef over 6 years ago and have been frequenting this tiny takeaway restaurant ever since. I also highly recommend the plain udon soup and yaki soba noodles. A few small tables if you want to sit in and eat.
