Very nice place to walk around the view from the dam wall is awesome. The place is very peaceful.

Definitely one of the better dams to visit just a short drive from Churchman Brook.Parking down the down the bottom provides a playground and picnic area with the ability to take a walk up through the bush to the dam or you can keep driving and get direct access to the top of the dam.Just avoid the toilets

Very nice place to visit. It is something different. Very quiet. Not many people present when i went there. I was the only one. Definitely worth going. 4 stars from me as i liked it a lot. Mundaring weir is also very good. Just my opinion. You can look at both photos to decide which one you like better.

A very quiet and peaceful place. You can walk all the way across the dam, then there is a nice lookout on the other side. Just before reaching the dam, there is a picnic area called Turtle Brook, with toilets and a playground.

Great location for a peaceful walk although a little sad that motor vehicle access has been limited and can no longer drive across.

Beautiful scenery and great place nestled in the southern reaches of the Perth Hills. While not the most impressive dam on the Scarp (Wellington Dam and Mundaring Weir are more photogenic), the winding drive to Canning Dam along Brookton Highway and Croyden Road is surely the most picturesque in the Perth Hills area! Great little picnic spot at Turtle Brook as well.

What a lovely ole dam to visit. Big walk up the steps, or just sit below the dam in the cool shade.
