The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are pleasant to deal with. The indoor and outdoor settings are accommodating + you can bring your pet along to breakfast! (Provided you sit outdoors)Customer service was exceptional, we were greeted, seated and then a team member came to start us off with our choice of drink after we had gotten comfortable at our table.Not long after, the same team member came outside to take our meal orders, she definitely has perfect timing and we highly appreciate great quality customer service.Food: my partner and I order the eggs Benedict with bacon and one with smoked salmon. We enjoyed our meals, the quantity was the perfect amount and the presentation was of high quality.Our drinks were great also.We really enjoyed having breakfast at Brown Bear Eatery! And will return again!Side note: there is an awesome kids playground located right outside of this cafe! So you can enjoy a family breakfast and head to the park to exhaust your little kids! It's a win.

What a wonderful atmosphere and delicious brunch! I had the scrambled eggs on toast, which were whipped and fluffy, and served on real chewy sourdough. My partner got the Grizzly, which was generously sized and looked tasty. They played really enjoyable music and the atmosphere was inviting, with lots of young families enjoying the space together. They answered the phone for our booking quickly and gave us a great table by the window, where we could watch the rain while still being warm. A perfect morning!

Nice place for breakfast. Some outside seating if you are come with your dog. Can be rather busy with dogs - so take care if your dig needs space. The coffee was good, the xmas special was very tasty and quite innovative. The rest was the normal selection of breakfast options. Our reactive doggy could be bribed with some bacon. He also enjoyed the wide lawn next to the cafe :-)

Hidden gem in Devonport.I Have done many coffee takeaways (which I like a lot) and today was the first time we had a meal. Meal were nice and loved the atmosphere and the lovely staff. Keep up the good vibes.

My son and I enjoyed an outstanding breakfast at Brown Bear.Amazing quality and equally fantastic value breakfast. My son suggested Brown Bear for a breakfast catch-up, and we were not disappointed.Equally outstanding and friendly staff.Superb parking next to Brown Bear. All in all, it's a fantastic cafe and well worth visiting many times as I'm sure you will become a regular.

Saturday is a day to unwind and relax. What better place to do just that than somewhere that serves good coffee and provides a smile and good service.Although a little small on indoor space, there is ample outdoor seating (for a sunny day) where your four legged family members can sit and enjoy the time together.The coffee here is definitely worth a second serve and the Corn & zucchini fritters yummy & large enough to satisfy the hunger.4 stars here today, great food, coffee & dine in experience.

Staff are welcoming and efficient, coffee is good! They also offer alternative milk in store (from milklab) The cafe is pretty cosy, and I'm glad they installed some sound absorbing panels in the cafe. They have plenty of seats outdoor too so you can enjoy the sun while having good coffee and brunches! There's also a playground just next to the cafe for kids to run around.

Outstanding service and fresh beautifully cooked food! I had the spicy satay chicken burger and it was divine with fresh salad ingredients and creamy, nutty, spicy sauce! Coffee was soooo good!

Great cafe . I enjoyed the good and friendly service, it was mid morning so we had brunch food which was delicious and a nice generous size, coffee was good no complaints from our table of 5 adults
