A beautiful and historic shop consisting of a wide range of clothing and very kind, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The cash railway system is a real treat to see as it is the last in Melbourne. Damien, one of the staff members who today guided me when looking for a particular pair of trousers showed exemplar customer service skills. Damien is highly knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Damien also shared some incredible stories, which made my day. Every occasion i go to Hattams Menswear, I am not only always satisfied with the products received, but also the quality service. Next time you are in Elsternwick, even if you don’t plan on buying anything, I highly recommend checking out Hattams Menswear just for the experience.

We do not use this place often - just when the owner forgets to dress appropriately for special events, and he needs a shirt. In cases like that, Hattam comes through. Given their range, they could just as easily come through if you wanted hi-vis safety gear, casual clothing, business wear or even a hat. The expertise of the people there is beyond what you see elsewhere as well. Easily a go to shop for men's and boys' clothing.

Good quality every day men's wear. I was able to find flannelette pj's with a button top on the trousers. I hadn't been able to find them anywhere else.

Great place. Old style menswear with real personal service (and I don’t mean old style as in the fashion but it’s like stepping into the 1960’s the way it set up). Great quality and good range. Jeans, T-shirts, trousers, jumpers, shirts, polos etc. Been around since 1879. A staple of Elsternwick.

Fashion code needs upgrading some are too dear cannot cope with OP shops. Sebastian is an excellent salesman.Having said that a female in their ranks may help.Their Bamboozled" socks are the best. Tony Walker"
