Wildlife Surrounds

Shakira led a wonderful education program for our class traveling from the US through Queensland. We performed a koala population survey and a beach scrub vegetation survey. Both excellent examples of field ecological research with the added benefit of covering unique Australian species! We had a great time and learned a lot of biology from the activities.

One hundred percent worth the drive. Wildlife Surrounds is located on a beautiful property just a short drive from Townsville. There is a wealth of native wildlife that call the property home, and Shakira takes amazing care of the dingoes. Wildlife Surrounds provides an amazing experience on a beautiful property. Shakira is incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and has a love for nature which shines through, she has a passion for wildlife education. Visiting Wildlife Surrounds is well worth a short drive out of Townsville, you will learn a lot and have a lot of fun.
