The Bluff Lookout
Super easily accessible lookout area, only about 700m from the carpark. But still lots of trails to explore! Could probably spend a couple of hours hiking the trails just in this area.

Park near the Austrian Social Club. Walk along the track and get some fantastic views. If your fit you can walk down the track

The Bluff Lookout
Walked up here from Seaforth Oval on a warm day, its a surprisingly easy climb and the views are magnificent. Ground formations of sandstone weathered by the valley winds are pretty interesting. Its the best place for a multi hour walk, halfway picnic spot. We returned via the MTB Track and encountered just the one biker, so be vigilant and ready to make way for them.

Easy hike to lookout only takes aboit 10 minutes or so. I will suggest go early and make your way back before sunset because path gets very dark as there is no lighting around here.

Garigal National Park is nestled in the heart of Sydney suburbia. On the shores of Middle Harbour, it’s a sanctuary that preserves the natural essence of the city. The thick bush in the Park is part of what makes Sydney special. There are dozens of walking tracks through the Park, of which the Bluff Track is just one. The Bluff Track starts at the bottom of Grattan Crescent. After a short walk to the Bluff Lookout the track forks east to Seaforth via Timbergetters Track or west to Forestville via Natural Bridge Track.

We started from the Seaforth Oval car park. It is an easy hike if you are okay with climbing the same steps going back up. Some areas on track were a bit wet although it hasn’t rained in a while. I can imagine that will be worse when it has been raining. The Lookout was great for a little picknic. We didn’t go to the one all the way at the top as our 2/3 rd up view rock, already has such great views. We took about an hour in and then another hour back to the car. If it is a busy weekend sports day, it might be tricky to find parking on Oval car park.

Great lookout with spectacular views. The walk is not very far and basically all flat. So it's easy to do with kids. Plenty of space for a picnic once you get to the lookout.

I have been coming to the Sokol Sydney club to plan indoor soccer but never venturing beyond until today and found this little gem. I just discovered a small part of the area. Will do again soon.

When we went to this lookout and google maps directed us to the lookout via Bayview Cl which gives no access to the lookout. The access to the lookout is Grattan Crescent beside Arant Reserve. It says it’s 700 metres to the lookout. My gps tracked it to be 500 metres to the lookout an a very easy track. The lookout is amazing with beautiful views of the bay and the city. Be careful here at the lookout as it has no railing and it’s a long drop.
