Fascinating rock formations along this coastline. A lumpy road in to a nice little campground providing shady spots to camp. A short walk down a well formed track to the beach. You have to cross a lagoon to get to the surf. A bit too rough for a swim but still a pretty beach.

Quiet and secluded campground with a handful of medium-sized sites. Ground is gravel, not grass. Drop toilets available, with toilet paper. No drinking water so BYO. Only a couple of sites have fire pits, however there is a central communal fire pit available. The road in is rough, full of corrugations and potholes, however certainly still doable in a 2wd with care. The walk down to the beach is 300m down a steep path. This will get you to the creek, which you can either go through or around if you are pretty agile at climbing over rocks. The beach is not a swimming beach, and there were loads of bluebottle jellyfish when we visited, however it is extremely beautiful. The bush around the campsite has been badly burnt in the fires but is bouncing back well. Plenty of goannas to be seen.Highly recommend the walk to Seal Creek as well. 3km each way, leaving from the beach at Shipwreck Creek.

Awesome remote camp ground near Mallacoota. Even on high season between the Christmas and New Year in 2020 it was perfect to feel in self isolation. An advanced booking is a must on parks.vic.gov.au. Nice ocean beach in walking distance has a good spot for fishing (australian salmon) near the end of creek.Take enough fresh drinkable water if you stay for few days and not going spend time on driving forth and back to the town. One precaution - there were few visits of goannas walking through the camp site. For us, it was more fun and interesting experience of watching those creatures.

What an amazing place, this place like a movie set and hidden from people's eyes for years. it's not easy to reach down here and you need a 4W or SUV. Unspoiled beach with natural phenomenon. You can go and feel the nature but definitely this is not a place for party people.

Nice and secluded campground! Bush is recovering nicely from the last bushfires.Has drop toilets, but you must bring your own water.

Shipwreck Creek Campground
Basic but gorgeous and secluded campsite. There are two dump toilets and a single tap with untreated water. The six sites are all private, surrounded by tall trees, and have firepits. The access road is quite rough and would not recommend in a small car.

Awesome secluded beach. Wouldnt recommend swimming there if you aren't a good swimmer, can get quite rough. Park at camp grounds and short walk down. Must book camp spots if you want to stay overnight
