This is one of the best freestay I've been to quiet, walking tracks, nice town and swimming pool in walking distance they have also planted native gardens next time we will stay a few days

Waterloo Plains Environmental Park
One of the very best little camp sites we have had the pleasure to overnight in. The bird life in and around the lake is just delightful. Also the toilet and shower block is scrupulously clean. All very impressive. And it's free!!!

Well done to the Wandoan community and council, this is a well laid out and beautiful Lagoon and parks area, and awesome free campground, with modern toilets and hot showers.

Good spot some shady trees has showers toilets water taps but i really dont like being so close to town i rather be in the sticks but it is a good place it has a foodworks pub with bottleshop only opens at midday and a bp servo i got premium for 139.9

Lovely walk around the lake.Lovely free camp with an easy walk to the town pubs for dinner. Thank you Wandoan for providing this lovely spot for camping.The walk around the lagoon is pretty with lots of feathered wildlife.

I don't normally give out 5 stars, however, Waterloo Plains Environmental Park was the exception. Oh my, such a beautiful spot. All the landscaping is beyond words, it is really something to see, trying to explain, will this amazing spot no justice.A wonderful spot to stop over, has everything the travelling public need. Exceptional amenities, clean and tidy and extremely well maintained. A must stop over when travelling through Wandoan.

Well I’ve had this place ear marked for quite a while to stay at for a free camp & OMG it didn’t disappoint at all what a fantastic wonderful stop to stop very clean toilets & even a hot shower too to use. Great area to walk around & enjoy the surroundings that the local community group have done with this spot, such a credit to them.I’ll be back again when I’m in the area.

Loved our overnight stay here. Great job Wandoan! Sit back and relax or go for a walk. Lots of options to enjoy in the very pleasant setting. Flat and spacious camping area with trees for shade in places. Modern amenities.
