Endeavour River Escape

Fantastic park. Your staying at the owners home.And working farm.The sites are huge but unpowered, 3 vans easy per site.Camp facilities are clean and well maitainedWould highly recommend if you want a great quiet stay just out of town.Close drive out to ellim Beach through beautiful country .A great big thank you to owners Terry and Leanne for helping us through a tough time with a breakdown in cooktown.

Very well kept property with excellent sites and facilities. Good distance out of town to do daytrips. Will be back no doubt

We were aiming for Port Douglas when we had issues with our car and found this great spot. Considering it wasn't part of our plan. This camp ground is beautiful. Big open camp sites that are separated from other camp sites, great for privacy and not camping ontop of each other. Facilities are the nicest I have ever seen on a campground. When we were there the owners were away buttedbut the rangers taking care of the place whilst away were very friendly, consistently working around the park, keeping showers hot, checking in on you making sure u r comfortable etc. Friendly horses on site and my daughter and I even got to play under the overflowing water tank. Ranger actually encouraged us too. Our daughter cried on our departure as she did not want to leave the campground! Highly reccomend this camp ground and hope we get the pleasure of going back some day.

Terrific place if want peace & quite to stay, host Terry is quite nice & helpful, there is big sites for vans campers & tents surrounded by trees if want or cleared areas . amenities are very good along with camp kitchen plus can have fires. Had a good time.

Fantastic place to stay, large grassy campsites plenty of space and privacy. Amenities are good and a river down one side is worth a look.Owners are friendly and accommodating.Campfires permitted and wood onsite for $10 or BYO

Interesting place. Huge campsites, firepits, good clean facilities & friendly staff abt 20 minutes from Cooktown. Only downsides is lack of fishing spots on the property unless u have your own boat.Also we went in early August & the mossies were the worst we've come across in Qld so cover up & get repellent. Otherwise a great spot.

Quiet, plenty of space and privacy all around. Nice facilities, very clean, and well kept. Worth the travel from town out to the camp.

As a group of six with 3 caravans, we easily fitted on one of the generous sites. There is plenty of natural tropical growth between grassed sites. We stayed for a few days mid 2019, after a trip to Cape York. We would all be happy to stay there again.
