I really liked this place! It was funky, very affordable and staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were awesome, bed comfy and nice toiletries.Would stay here again and highly recommend

Such a cool, funky hotel. We had the “Two of a kind” room which was perfect for our family. The beds and pillows were amazingly comfortable, we had a great sleep.The highlight was the staff … everyone was so friendly and smiley, the gentleman who checked us in was lovely.Thanks for a wonderful stay, we’ll definitely recommend this hotel.

Good value for money in a wonderful location. Be warned though: the rooms are tiny, even the 'one of a kind plus'. Also, the en suite bathrooms have zero privacy. I reckon the rooms are best for solo travellers. I would not want to share a room such as this with my partner let alone a friend.Edit 26/3/23: I stayed here again and made use of the amazing kitchen facilities. I was also given a room that has a kitchenette adjacent to the room. This little kitchen is shared with one other room and has a minibar fridge and microwave.

Friendly staff but clunky service experience at check in, check out, and other queries. They try, but its clunky. Shared workspaces and kitchen space on ground floor is excellent. Great design. Rooms (even plus size) are too small. Wouldn't recommend for a couple. Bed is very comfortable but not comfortable to access as its raised on a platform (again, its ok for a solo traveler, not for a couple). The bathroom is poorly designed. No way to stop water splashing from shower and miniature sink onto floors and surfaces. You're obliged to mop up constantly so there's an endless presence of damp towels to manage. The aircon seemed to work ok but the absence of any fresh air made it feel claustrophobic. Especially in a small room. Superb location - its a shame the rooms aren't better designed as its otherwise good value for money.

I have stayed at Lyf a couple of times now, sometimes for work, and once with my dog. The location is great, staff are super friendly, and while yes the rooms aren't huge they are super comfy. It's a great option. I really love that there is the option to stay with a pet as they are very much part of our lives now.My one issue though is that the platform beds are really difficult to get up onto without a step if you have any kind of mobility issue. One time staying there, I had a bad knee, and I basically had to throw myself at the thing, as I couldn't put weight on my knee to scramble up on to the bed. I was particularly surprised to also find the same style of bed in the accessible rooms (which otherwise had excellent accessible bathrooms etc). The platform bed would be completely inaccessible for anyone using a wheelchair without some kind of lift, and pretty difficult for anyone else with mobility issues. While the beds are cool and comfy and it's fun to be up near the window, a couple of steps up to them in the regular rooms would help, and they possibly need to be reconsidered in accessible rooms?

No complaints at all about this modern, fun, cozy little hotel! Great location, great food around and great night life! Prices were super reasonable and cheaper than most places in the city. Rooms are small but I didn't need a big room, just wanted somewhere to sleep and rest. Super clean, love the floor to ceiling windows! Bathroom privacy might be an issue for some but it wasn't for me. Will definitely be booking here again!!

Stayed here for a work trip and it was amazing. The beds are the comfiest ever, it’s like sleeping on a cloud! The rooms are clean, spacious and have everything you need. There is a kitchen downstairs, and communal workspace too. Location is on a quiet area which meant a peaceful nights sleep. Location is perfect with lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. And there’s a great cafe next door with an open fire!

A modern hotel with a no frills attitude to your rooms. All I need is a bed and a bathroom so this is perfect. All the amenities you need in your room (usb charging, tv, nice shower) and all the rest in common spaces (fridge, cooking area, ironing station, washing machines, desks with charging stations). Stayed twice now and will keep coming back.Thanks team.

We required CBD accommodation to attend a wedding nearby. Lyf filled the bill admirably. Clean rooms, excellent service and convenient location. Car park very tight for a medium SUV, requiring three guides to assist driver to squeeze in.

Fresh, modern accommodation. The service was great and very clean overall. The rooms are on the smaller side but enough for somewhere to sleep, also to note there was no view from my room as the window was frosted which makes you feel boxed in and not really want to spend time in the room. I also wish the room had a small fridge instead of just a communal one on the floor. There wasn't daily housekeeping either which was surprising for the cost per night.
