One word for the Kotara Clinic - VIBRANT! Today was my first visit to this clinic. I have had skin checks at various clinics over the years but this is the first one where ALL the staff are super friendly and helpful. The doctor who conducted the examination gave me the most thorough skin check that I have ever had. Head to toe, nothing missed. Amazing attention to detail.

As a first time patient, thought I'd give this place a try but after having my appointment rescheduled 4 times, I'd rather go elsewhere. Reception staff were super rude. I was lied to about the reason for rescheduling & constantly redirected to see my GP when it was them that told me to go to skin clinic!!

I've been coming to the clinic for many years. My skin checks have always been very detailed and thourough. Reception staff are always happy, welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

I did not have a positive experience here. To begin with, the reception staff weren't particularly welcoming, no smile, not personal at all. Then I found the examination wasn't thorough and very brief compared to others I have had in the past. At one point the doctor had to leave the room, but left the door open to the waiting room, with me sitting on the examination table in my underwear! I had to schedule another appointment for a simple mole removal, in 2 weeks time. I had a phone call a day before saying they would have to reschedule, and the earliest would be in another 2 weeks time. I would be away for that time so I asked if they could possibly do it before then, and was told they would have to look at the schedule and call me back. No return call after 2 days, so I called again, was put on hold, and then they dropped the call. I made an appointment at another clinic. Very unprofessional, and disappointing.

Terrible experience! Was in and out of the skin check in minutes and didn't feel like anything was thoroughly checked. I noted my father had a melanoma removed and was challenged if it was in fact a melanoma. Doctor didn't seem to care about my answers and was more interested in suggesting is was just skin cancer (not a big issue). It was just the way you're dealt with by the doctor, dismissive, challenges your comments, spends 1min looking you over, then when I got dressed and sat down waiting for instructions, doctor asked what are you doing" indicating my appointment was done and I need to leave. So rude and unprofessional treatment of customers. I won't be going back

All in all I found the clinic to lack patient care. I had a fairly major procedure done but was not given accurate information about the scope of the procedure or recovery time. Basic matters like arranging someone to pick me up (or crutches) were not even mentioned. Based on my experience I wouldn’t recommend this clinic.

Had my skin checked. Skin check was thorough and any concerns were reviewed with care by the doctor. The doctor and staff were all respectful, pleasant and easy to talk to. Overall was a good experience. I would recommend this clinic to family and friends.

I made a before work appointment. I arrived on time, but altho no other patients were waiting, I was still waiting for my 8.40am appointment at 9am. I approached 2 different receptionists to ask them how much longer to wait, but they just said shouldn't be long" . Unfortunately I had to leave as I had to get to my own work for an appointment. I don't understand why I had to wait so long for an early morning appointment- and then not be seen. Very disappointing."

I have been to the Novocastrian Skin Cancer Clinic numerous times.Every time I have been looked after with such professionalism by all the Staff.Dr Kinsella is such an amazing Dr. He listens and treats myself and my family with such respect and care.I have recommended this business to all my Family and Friends who all are of the same opinion and continue to go back for further treatments.

I've visited your clinic twice in the last few years. Both times the skin examination was sub standard. My last skin check I was asked to stand with my back to the doctor who didn't seem to be close enough to examine me. He didn't lift my sports bra strap. This year a melanoma was diagnosed on my back where that strap would have covered it.I had been a palliative care nurse for 30 years, so have seen many end stage melanoma cases.Doctors, please take more care
