2 for the coffee only. Ordered coffee and carrot cake. Coffee was ok but the cake was mouldy. I understand that the cake was not made on site but that does not mean that you don't check stock daily. Thank you for giving me back money for the cake but I don't think I'll be back.

Great pastry and toasted sandwiches. Coffee very good too. But the friendliness of the owners and the staff, the relaxed ambiance of the place makes it a terrific local meeting place for locals and those passing through. Whenever I come home to Sydney I always drop in to say hi to Cristina and the girls, and have a toastie and a coffee.

After walking through the Portuguese festival, we felt like some Portuguese egg tarts so we sat down at this old school cake cafe that has a home feel to it.I ordered a coffee and an ice chocolate that were both of generous serving sizes. I also tried an egg tart and an almond tart but I found them to be both too sweet.

I was craving Portuguese tarts and our fav store was closed so we opted for this. These guys had the audacity to serve my husband $30 worth of stale and off tarts. Just gross!!!

Nice Portuguese cake shop with lots mouth watering sweets to choose from. Try the Portuguese chocolate salami while you're there. Have always used them for every occasion and they have never let me down. Very friendly staff and professional service. Happy to recommend this shop to anyone!

Best and most genuine Portuguese tarts in Sydney.I’ve been buying Portuguese tarts from here since I was a young kid. Never disappoint.

I would rate 0 star for the customer service but google don’t let me do, today me my wife and our 2 children walked in as we seen the sign out side ( Portuguese and Australian cakes) and take a sit and make comfortable ourself witch took 2 minutes for us, Sachs we have to youngs.Well 2 elderly women keep watching us for the entire 2 minutes when then I stand up and go to order,trying to be nice and polite with a big big smile for broke up that bad feeling. Nothing she didn’t change at all and looking to me like, “ok what you need”Well I said, hi may I ask you witch are the original and traditional Portuguese cakes? She watch me and say, what u mean? With very rude voice, and said pretty much all of them, so I didn’t know why it’s called Australian and Portuguese cakes...Finally we decide and go to sit to wait for a coffee, it came to the table and I, “ excuse me? “ do I pay now or later?She: pay, now, later, up to you with not any warming to us.Anyway in meantime the second woman ( friend of the owner witch was siting with her when we get in) been watching us until we left, of Course I Smile to her to but not responded...We finish what we bought and in 30 minutes run away from that bad (nightmare) feeling.Bad luck to you guys

A few years ago my mother & I came in and were very rudely spoken to and I vowed never to come back. Well for some reason I thought I'd give it another chance and I was wrong. My brother & I were completely ignored even though we were waiting at the cash register to place our order, the lady purposely walked up the other end of the counter to service someone else. I was not up for making a fuss so we walked out; clearly not impressed!!!Not even worth a look in if you treat people like that. Can't comment on cakes or coffee but Sweet Belem is definitely the place to go.

This little Portuguese cake shop has been my favourite since I was a little girl. The pastel de nata are the real deal. The bolas de berlin are awesome and not to mention the queques (my old time favourite) as well as bolo de arroz and chocolate salami yummy YUMMY!!! You can not find it anywhere else. And when I really want to indulge I also get a can of orange sumol.Obrigado/thank you La Patisserie for the yummy Portuguese cakes you provide :).

This is the original cake shop in Australia to introduce the Portuguese custard tart. The owner Fernando has been delighting the community for over 35 years. These are the best Portuguese custard tarts that you will ever try in your life! The shop is located in 'little Portugal' - Petersham. Many other sweets to chose from. All diets are off when visiting here!
