I applied for a rental property and was dealing with one agent who was lovely to deal with and i got approved with an agreed date to move in. I was told my application was perfect. Great tenancy ledger. Good job. Great money. I just needed to pay my holding deposit which i was doing later that night. Then out of no where i get a phone call from another agent saying shes processing my application (which i thought apparently had already been done when i had got approval) and do i have more savings in another bank account. I do not think its any of their business how much money i have as long as i pay the bond. They should not be able to see my personal savings. (I did not show them).Long story short...I got an email from the second agent saying my application got denied....my apologises. Just like that!!!I emailed later with questions and asked them both why i was given the run around by two different agents when i had been approved only for none of them to be returned and now the property has been leased within 5 days.They didnt even give me a chance to pay my holding deposit and bond before they ripped this property from me.I had also given my current landlord notice because i needed to give 21 days, only to have to urgently cancel that so im not homeless. Utterly disgusted by this company and will make sure none of my friends or myself ever deal with them again.

After renting across the inner-west for around 15 years, Coopers are a breath of fresh air. I've worked consistently with the same property agent, John, over the past 12 months and he has been unfailingly honest, quick and effective.The thing that prompted me to write this review was that last night I locked myself out and I thought that, given a screwdriver, I'd be able to undo the handle and get back in. I called the agency after 5pm and, even though they were finishing for the day, Paul Cooper (the firm's Principal) came down the hill with a toolkit and helped me take apart the door handle. It turned out that I was wildly wrong about the door mechanisms and taking apart the handle wasn't useful, but he called an after hours locksmith who arrived within the hour (and charged significantly less than I had expected).Thanks Paul, John and everyone else at Coopers!

It was a nightmare to deal with one of the agents, rude, no sense of basic human manners or respects at all, mean, just soooo mean, treating us like beggars when we were moving out! I had depression shortly after that. It took me a while to move on!I just give one example of many. After they took some photos for listing the house, we came home with dirty leaves on the floor, torn apart pillow cases, all rearranged furnitures, and broken white plastic pieces which we could not piece where they are from. Afraid they broke something and blamed us for it given how difficult it was with everything already, i enquiried, the response is ‘it is from your cheap rubbish bin, worth nothing’!!!! All communications without a single word of please or thank you but full of contempt and rudeness no matter how hard I tried initially to be nice and polite as we definitely want all our deposits back... no no no he tried to make it sooo difficult and blamed us for everything he could think of even the place had to be vacant for weeks during Xmas.I am avoiding this agency all together for renting and buying and leasing my investment properties!Nightmare just nightmare!!!!!!

Initially friendly father and son but then got too greedy to get a better commission. I put the offer in well above the asking price and was told it was the highest. What they did however they told other buyers what my offer was and ask them to bid it. Underhanded method of what should have been a silent auction.

Coopers are the best agency I have rented with in Sydney. They are very welcoming, happy to help and really easy to communicate with. I wish all letting agents were like this!!

Paul Cooper has been such a pleasure to deal with during my time renting properties through him which is well over 8 years now. He is a dedicated professional and treats you like part of the Cooper family.

Staff are friendly but not helpful. I kept being referred to a property manager for answers, only he never answered his phone, or returned emails or voicemails. Very frustrating company to deal with.
