A Gentle Clip Ultimate Dog Grooming

Rude and Appalling! Cannot believe the rudeness of this person. On a Monday I phoned to make an appointment for Bath, blow-dry and nail clip for Friday 8am. I just thought I'd better check the appointment (after reading some negative reviews) I was then told to bring her in later, they only had two staff! So what time I said? She said we'll we don't usually bath them, so I said but you knew that when I made the appointment. She said I can't help you and slammed the phone down on me!What a way to treat your Customers.Please don't use them... Read the reviews!

I have waited for 8 days to write this review - as I did not want to write in anger. It is a little long - but if you want the crux of the review just go to the bottom.I had the most unprofessional experience with main 'customer service representative' when I arrived for my appointment for my 14 week old puppy (I assume she was the owner but cannot be sure, so I will say CSR/owner) This was my first experience having a hygiene groom having booked it two weeks in advance via the phone. I clearly remember saying to the person on the other end of the phone : I just need his nails clipped, eyes and 'bits' tidied as he was only a puppy. On arriving at the store in Ashgrove, the CSR/owner greeted me with anger, aggression and changing personalities - claiming I had been a client before, questioning where I got the details of the business (um... the internet and business website), told me off for looking at the other groomer in the store (who seemed lovely) and continued to chastise me for turning the story around (not sure what story I was changing as I was just needing a hygiene groom) . She wanted to completely shave/clip my 14 week old puppy even though his hair was very fine and she was abusive to me for only wanting a hygiene groom. My 18 year son was with me and witnessed the complete exchange while pretending to be looking at his phone. He too was appalled by the behaviour; he did pay me the biggest compliment afterwards by saying 'mum you really kept your cool - she was crazy and just after a fight'. If you have had great service at this business in the past good for you. If you are looking for a new groomer or you are a first time pet owner I recommend you DO NOT select this business for your business.

I have had my dog groomed at this salon a number of times and all with varying degrees of satisfaction with the end result. The last time however, the price jumped to $40 more than I had previously paid and while the cut was acceptable, it was not particularly well done. I won’t be returning as $120 to have a small/medium sized dog shaved back to a fully short coat is absolutely ludicrous. Not only that, I have had a much better service at Paddington Pups around the corner who do the exact same job for $76.

I called to book in my Border Collie for a wash and nail clip. Was advised they don’t wash or groom long haired dogs over winter as it takes too long. Incredibly disappointing and bizarre to not want new return business. As a 2 year old, I have previously washed him myself. Was looking to outsource for ongoing baths.

Wow! I have never had an experience where just booking the appointment resulted in the lady having a complete meltdown, shouting at me and then weirdly accusing me of somehow abusing her. Had to hang up. They don’t call you back if you leave a message as per answerphone if you do get through you get this crazy lady who thought my dog was a hairless breed and then tried t talk me out of having it groomed (it’s a bulldog). When I asked questions about what is involved in the package ($90 per groom) and if they do any other packages she totally lost it and said that I was abusing her. I hung up. Stay well clear. If that is how they treat people not sure how they treat dogs.

I just moved to the area and rang to ask about a nail trim for my dog (who is very small, needs no other grooming, and an anxious dog), and I found the person I spoke with to be quite rude. They said I could only come in for this service first thing tomorrow morning, as they did not want to start grooming other dogs and then have to stop to “just clip nails”. When I said I wouldn’t be able to make that time, they told me the vet could help. I was just trying to make an appointment, not asking for special treatment, I’ve never been to this grooming salon before and I definitely won’t be going any time soon.

So happy with what Amelia done. A lady true to her word and love the way she is so straight up. As her best interest is the animal Will be coming back and thank you so much. ❤️

My poodle had a great clip with Amelia and her team yesterday. Everything went so smoothly and by how she spoke about my dog I knew she understood that he doesn’t like to be clipped, but is a gentle boy, and she handled that. My dog is now 8 y.o. I used to come here when he was 1 y.o. It’s the same management and it’s appreciated.

The people in this grooming salon had disfigured my dog, he was almost shaven down to skin, and didn’t even look like a dog from his breed. For several days he was beside himself and honestly my husband and I couldn’t believe our eyes when we got our dog back. On top of everything we were charged $140 for their services. I would never ever gone to that place had I not been desperate since my own groomer had not been available. I have to say that it has been almost 3 weeks since we’ve been there but no friend of ours or our family members were able to recognize our dog. I guess that is just the cherry on top of this inedible cake. I would not recommend this grooming salon to anyone.
