Orange Spot Bakery

Ok, so I am currently in Adelaide/Glenelg from Melbourne. Yesterday I felt like something sweet & ventured out for a walk but wanted something away from Jetty Rd. So I arrived at this big orange shop & went in. I wanted to buy one of everything but chose a canolli & vanilla slice. As I was going back to my hotel room, I ended up in the lift with another guest. Asked if I got a pasty from orange's I said no just sweets. He told me to get a pasty, so here I am back in my room with a pasty & sausage roll. Yuuuuuuuuuum!!! I could eat this every day. Sadly leaving tomorrow but definitely coming back to this wonderful bakery. Past flakey pastry & amazing taste. Hands down best I've had of both.

Great spot for good old fashioned bakery food. I highly recommend the pepper pasty. It was so good. There is also coffee available along with plenty of sweat treats. Easy access by foot and car.

Really don’t like leaving negative reviews but hoping this could help make a change. We have been coming to orange spot bakery for over 10 years and absolutely love their pies and pasties. However a few of our recent visits have been highly disappointing. The customer service has been poor at times, it looks like staff are working under extreme pressure leading to mistakes. We saw a waitress drop a spoon on the floor only to pick it up and put it back on the saucer and serve the customer their coffee. Our orders have come to us so late and when they put the pies on the side to sauce them up they just sit there and get cold. It’s just not running as smoothly as it used to making our experiences worse each time. We will continue supporting this business as we love their pies but please take this review on board.

Even though it was busy we got our order quickly. Sausage roll was just right, and the orange and poppy seed muffin was super fresh and tasty. Did 1/4 strength Black coffee perfectly. Plenty of tables. [Did I mention it was busy .. MG car gathering across the road] Well done!

Tried their melting moment cookie today… my only regret is not buying more. Divine!!!I’ve not been when there isn’t a queue, and it’s easy to see why!Great service; kind and efficient - so the long queues don’t equal long waits.So many options for sweet and savoury; all so delicious! (Well, at least everything I’ve tried is).You won’t be disappointed

Read about the award winning pasties made here and just had to give them a try.Absolutely delicious!!!!Hands down best pastie I have ever eaten and I’ve had a fair few.Very reasonably priced and great service topped off the experience.I’m only in Adelaide for a few days but I will be back for one more pastie before I go.
