Craig and the team at Gold Creek Station are one of my favourite venues in Canberra to Photograph and for good reason; there are so few venues in Canberra like Gold Creek Station.Gold Creek Station has an incredible rustic charm which shows from the love and care that Craig Starr has put into the venue, literally building the entire place by hand! How many people can say they have done that before?From the outdoor chapel to the incredible and comfortable warmth of the main hall, Gold Creek Station is perfect for couples who are looking to celebrate with some authentic Australian country charm.

My husband and I had the amazing pleasure of being married last week at Gold Creek Station. The venue was beautiful, the food delicious and the staff (especially Craig!!) have been so kind through the whole process.We even got to have cuddles with sweet little pup (who was meant to be sheep dog training..) while we were getting ready.Thank you for making our day so special.

Amazing staff catered to our extras and helped create the most special night of my life. Loved everything about the place, Craig has done an incredible job building the place.Would recommend 100% for any events or weddings.Thanks again!!!!

My husband and I visited Gold Creek whilst staying in the area and we're so glad we did.It was a fantastic experience with the perfect combination of information and fun! Craig and his family work incredibly hard and the personal element to the visit helped to make it our favourite day.We loved being able to ask questions, see the sheep handling and shearing close up and understand the process.The amazing BBQ was delicious and the steaks were perfectly cooked!Overall, we were very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend Gold Creek Station for a memorable day out.Many thanks to you all.

I would highly recommend Gold Creek Station for a wedding, or any other occasion for that matter.The location allows for a beautiful outdoor setting for a ceremony among the gum trees, an undercover outdoor bar / canapes area, and reception close by in the homestead so your guests can enjoy entertainment the whole time without having to change venues.Craig is very generous with his time throughout the whole process from the initial visit to subsequent visits, set-up, the event itself and the pack up afterwards. Craig was more than happy to help us make our wedding day be everything we wanted it to be.On the day, out doughnut tower turned up without a tower. Craig and our MC worked together to ring around and find somewhere to buy a tower at short notice while we were blissfully unaware of the issue. He helped put decorations up, tidy the area before the event, went out of his way to ensure special requests were met including alcohol and set-up in the days leading up.We chose the buffet option for our reception and met with the caterer who guided us through what works at the venue and for groups of our size. The food was delicious and everyone with food allergies / children were looked after. There was more than enough food, a lot of people had seconds and loved being able to choose what they wanted to eat.The cost to use this venue is not cheap, however it was worth every cent to hold our wedding day here and was comparable with several other Canberra venues we considered. We loved our day at Gold Creek Station and have had so many positive comments from our guests, despite cool and windy weather out of our control!

Fantastic venue for weddings, parties and other functions.

Great experience seeing what life is like on an Aussie sheep station. Personable, delightful family run business and are most welcoming of visitors, serving up a fair dinkum BBQ for lunch, and entertaining all with an actual sheep shearing. Dave and Digger, their sheep dogs, put on an endearing performance themselves. And if you happen to be coeliac, don't worry as these fine people understand the condition, and so can serve you accordingly, and safely. A lovely day out whilst in the nation's capital.

Great for weddings birthdays ect very friendly staff

We had our wedding at Gold Creek Station in November 2017 and we couldn't have been happier with how the event was run. Gold Creek Station were happy to help with anything we needed throughout the planning process, and did a great job of making sure that everything ran smoothly on the day. We had 140 people and there was more than enough food for everyone, and the buffet line moved quickly. Service at the bar for getting drinks was really quick and friendly (and the staff always made me feel special, as the bride!). They have a great sound system that got everyone on the dance floor, and we had rave reviews from all our guests about how picturesque and relaxed the venue was. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gold Creek Station to anyone.
