Today when I ordered my meal, the waitress gave me a spoon instead of a knife and fork. (Totally fine) I then went up to the counter and asked for some cutlery as there wasn’t any in the cutlery section. The waitress apologised, and said she would bring one over. No issues at all, these things happen. She walked around and couldn’t find any clean cutlery, so she grabbed a used, dirty knife and then wiped it with her CLEANING cloth, that she wipes the tables with, and then handed me the knife… I assume she didn’t think that I was watching?? The food was delicious, but unfortunately that ruined my experience

Delicious food, friendly staff. The breakfast burger here was delicious than Jesmond branch. The bacon in jesmond is very salty but they are delicious here.

04/06/2023- If I could give this no stars I would. Hair in food! Raw food!Staff every were unfriendly, had to ask for menu, no cutlery avail. Asked for water twice and still none. Food sat on counter for long time. Had to collect own food, cheese bacon fries missing bacon. Breakfast burger topped with raw eggs and 2 strands of hair! Still didn't even receive all our food. Disgusting! Gross! But thankfully we got a refundAs I complained I saw in to the kitchen and the floor was covered in food, egg shells, cheese, lettuce all walked in to the floor. Health inspectors need to visit!!!!!

It looked magical but disappointed in the end.Donut was dense and a bit stale. Chips tasted sweet like they had used the oil from the donuts.Watched food sit waiting to be served for 10 min on a shelf and observed another customer get their food before their dates and waited while theirs went cold as to not be rude.One of the staff while wearing gloves scratched their nose while packing food.

The best breakfast I've had lately. The happy bowl makes me so happy. The roasted pumpkin , beetroot hummus and that tiny bit of grilled chilli and grilled cheese was so nice. Thank you for the great food! Will definitely come back and recommended!

Wow! Just…WOW! This is THE place to go for breakfast. With a huge menu and a ridiculous amount of variety this was a super enjoyable experience. A few things in the menu felt a little expensive but the serving sizes are also quite generous.Staff were friendly and we were served quickly.

Dined in this morning, most other places were closed as it’s a make up public holiday. Girls who served us were friendly and polite. They took a booking and had a table ready for us. And I know there are plenty of places who won’t take bookings. Especially on a public holiday like today. We didn’t have any of the fancy shakes they’re known for. But the babycino was very fancy and loved by my little one.Piccolo coffee was great and the French toast and XS big breakfast was definitely generous compared to some other breakfast places out there that I’ve been to.I’m not too sure if there was a public holiday surcharge or not, but if there was then the girls working deserve every bit of it.First time at any XS espresso location, but I’ll be back to the Kotara one for sure.

Volcano! This was an amazing place, with an long menu and fun meals. The staff are immediately welcoming and friendly to customers. The establishment is full of colour and an easing vibe, seating is spacious but filling. The menu is full of delicious options of which fills you up easily.The food it self was amazing, would suggest a little softer on the sourdough, but this is a personal preference and something that is no true problem with the food in itself. Now…the drinks…you have your usual drinks; tea, coffee, smoothies. The MILKSHAKES were awesome, very very filling. This was an amazing creation that was fun to look at and delicious to eat.I would highly recommend this place especially if you have kids.

Hi had choc milkshake on friCake was so tough could not eat and milkshake was served very messyNo knife to eat cake or break choc off cup. Very disappointing. They were not busy all standing around talking very loud. I left both of them. Quite expensive. Heather
