Brisbane Motor Works - BMW & Mini Service

Had to bring my R56 mini in twice recently to get some mechanical issues resolved. The guys were very prompt to repair my car and were nice to deal with however I did find them very pricey.I would have liked the invoice to have been broken down into costs for labour and individual parts instead of all bundled in together but maybe this is just me.They repaired my car to a good standard however I wasn't very impressed when my car went back up on the hoist that same afternoon to get a RWC and they showed me the underside of the car was still covered in oil from the previous oil leaks I paid Brisbane Motor Works to fix - it's a small thing I know, but the for the amount the work cost I would have appreciated the car to have been degreased after being worked on.

I had my E92 M3 PPI done here and it was extremely comprehensive. Service, repairs and maintenance has all been done at here since and I've been very happy with the service and the price. We've since had my wifes mini GP2 down there for work and she's received the same excellent service. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Lance and the team to anyone with early or late model BMWs or Minis

Use to be their fans before, always bring my BMWs to them few years ago. Has been asked them to check on the gearbox a few times (at least 3 times) due to slow reaction on the second gear but nothing has been improved and just keep telling me gearbox has been checked and no issue at all. On my last visit, finally told me they do not repair gearbox at all. Also asked them to change my tyres as well but at last brake caliper has been damaged due to put the incorerct wheel back on my car. Lucky I checked around my car before drive away as no one telling me my car has been damaged. At the end Lance just push me to Bridgestone Woolloongabba to deal with the damage. Very disappointed as their service was dropping everytime I visit and I can see they do not want to handle any large job even you willing to pay.

Had a bad experience with both Brisbane BMW fortitude valley and Brisbane motor works.All I needed done was for my X6 engine oil change done, and it took me 3 goes to fix the issue.First go was to the BMW fortitude valley dealership, booked for fast service(should be done within 2hrs) when I got there, was quoted by Scott Myers it would cost me $550, sounded pricey to me, but I had the day off so whatever, then rang me 5 minutes later and said price is now $650 because they also need to change the oil filter. OK, fine, as long as you get it done. Waited 1.5hr in Newsatead and rang them, he told me they haven't started on the job, and that he had no idea I was on the fast service list???? There was no apology. Needless to say I didn't stay.Second go was Brisbane Motor Works, rang them, got a quote for $250, sounded reasonable, so took the car in for oil change. Rang me 2 hr later to say it's done. When I got home, the screen screamed low on engine oil. So had to drive back for them to top up another liter, and was told my engine gasket needed change as it's leaking oil.Yes, I did started noticing leaking oil ever since the oil change, but NO, I didn't have a oil leak prior to the change.Took it to another shop, was told the washer was loose and there's nothing wrong with the car. The owner took pity on me for being screwed around so no charge to me.This could be Brisbane Motor work's tactic, get you in for a reasonable oil change service, then tell you there's oil leak that requires gasket change, then charge you $1000 for tightening the washer....I took my time writing this review, hope someone benefits from it.

First and LAST time! I was lured in by a business card placed on my car window, cheap servicing.. I also wanted a fault diagnosis on my mini Cooper and they told me my bill was $720 for supposedly spending 6 hours looking for this fault on my car. As they didn't know.. I would have had to pay this if I was to take my car somewhere else, BMW charge $289 for a fault diagnosis no matter how long they take to find the problem!They Found it was a High pressure fuel pump and charged me just under $3K! didn't even check the air in my tyres, I asked if they filled in my service logbook, and Travis said 'no' handed me the key and told me to 'go and get it' No itemised receipt I was told by owner I would get a breakdown of the work to explain the time spent) for the work carried out either.. only one line saying 'replaced high pressure pump' nothing about service or the labor cost, VERY unprofessional!! NEVER AGAIN!

Lance and the boys at Brisbane motor works have been absolutely fantastic to deal with for the last year. Extremely knowledgeable on their BMW’s. Had a problem with a 5 series that I have taken to multiple mechanics and no one knew what the problem could be. Lance took 5min and told me exactly what was wrong - this shows experience and knowledge which gained my trust and they fixed my issue. Cheers boys

Lance and the team are always fair and friendly. We have our BMW and MINI serviced by the guys there and have always had excellent service. As a female I have encountered mechanics talking down to me but Lance is so friendly and talks to me the at the same level as my husband. On a number of occasions they have gone above and beyond for us to help us out.

Thought I'd try these guys, what a mistake.... Well I just noticed that things went missing from my center console... It's not the value of the items, its the principle. No words..... They went out of their way to send my parts back to the supplier because they were too slack to to do the job they promised and lied about it. None of my friends will ever use your shop and neither will I. First impressions count, so when they called to say we couldn't be bothered to do your car I knew this was the wrong place for me.
