Strathalbyn Small Engines

Bazz and the Team are AMAZING at Strath Small Engines. I purchased a tow behind slasher elsewhere and had to bring it to an Authorised Kohler Engine Specialist. SSE's was my closest team, and I am SO glad I brought it to this team. Despite being incredibly busy, they stopped what they were doing to help me. They showed me the potential problem with the machine and then Bazz liaised with the manufacturer and ordered the part. They also added a jockey wheel to my machine and despite being under the pump, they even painted the weld to blend with my machine. Within the week it was back with me. I can't rave enough about the service from this team. I will be bringing the machine back for regular servicing because they treated me with respect, were courteous and also offer a transport return service which is helpful for me. Thanks Bazz and team. You're the best.

No nonsense service.

Barry was very helpful. Sells great gear and stands by it. I'm a professional gardener/landscaper in the local area and its great to have such a good store close to home. Thanks Bazz.

Tips for the future for you to improve on, when picking up or delivering mowers. A simple knock on the door to see if client is home first, unless you have been instructed client isn't home. If then not home if not pre organised or even organised a call or txt that you are on property and picking it up or dropping it off would be the decent courteous thing to do and good customer relations. Also, if a customer pays via phone/ credit card staple invoice around steering wheel or affix to item in envelope with tape or email it to customer at time of payment as you collect this info on payment to do this. Last but not least, ALWAYS check that a vehicle is out of gear before starting it! Was not happy with damage sustained to my mower or the items in my shed, then the appearance of mower returned in shed with no correspondence at all with damaged steering. Will not be a repeat customer.

Purchased a 1200 dollar Makita chainsaw from Barry after trying to order one in at a big box store in Mt Barker and getting the run around.Emailed Barry for a price and he replied promptly. Gave him a 20 percent deposit and it was in the store the following week. No BS excuses or mucking about, just good old fashioned service.I plan on using SSE for all future farm related purchases. Very poor service. Lots of swearing towards my wife for returning a part that was ordered incorrectly after a 3week wait. Very disappointed, won’t be going back .

What a terrific experience. The complete opposite to what I had at South coast lawnmower service in Goolwa (I wrote a review for them too!). They did exactly what they said they would and did it when they said they would. I will be taking all of my lawnmower, whipper snipper etc services and repairs to Strathalbyn in the future ... the 30 minute drive compared to the 3 minute drive in Goolwa is well worth it.
