Mandy To - Hair & Makeup Artist

Mandy did wedding hair styling for us and did an amazing job! She does fantastic braids and even worked wonders with my sister’s relatively small amount of very fine hair! In the lead up, she was organised, easy to communicate with and kept in touch with us during our long engagement (over 2 years from when I did my trial)! Would not hesitate to recommend!

Mandy is amazing. She has done my makeup now a few times for special occasions and also for bridal and most recently when I was a bridesmaid. I love a soft glam look and I get so many comments asking about my makeup everytime she's done mine. For my bridal and bridesmaid events Mandy even gave me a little bag in case I needed any touch-ups on the day but I barely needed to besides reapplying my lipstick. She uses high quality products and is very hygienic. Last year I asked her if we could do a makeup class - I learnt quite a few tips and we even learnt about looking after our skin before applying our makeup which was like getting a facial treatment. I also enjoyed trying and seeing what products she recommends. I'd recommend going with a friend if you do a private class as it was helpful to also watch her techniques and it's a fun afternoon.

I’ve had Mandy do my makeup and hair for a number of special events as well makeup for my bridesmaids. On all occasions, she’s on time, professional, down-to-earth, and I feel very comfortable leaving my bare face in her capable hands. I am such a novice when it comes to makeup and never know what suits me, and Mandy is great in choosing makeup styles that suit my face. Mandy has also given me a private one-on-one makeup lesson, and in that afternoon I spent with her, I felt like I had learnt so much about makeup that I didn’t previously know. She gave me a lot of practical tips and was happy to recommend great makeup that wasn’t out of my budget. Because of her lesson, it definitely gave me a lot more confidence to apply my own makeup. Seriously can’t thank her enough! She’s fantastic!
