We had a beautiful day at Whispering Brook today on a personalised tour, tasting and cheese platter. Ron was a wonderful host, full of knowledge on the wine making and olive picking process. Sensational wines and Olives, Thankyou for a wonderful day !

Beautiful cellar door with a spring day wedding vibe. Friendly greeting and informative tasting - the fully experience. A winery with a point of difference, adopting Portuguese grapes and flavours into a Aussie setting. The sparkling shiraz is rave worthy, my new favourite. I also brought a tawny for my husband which he finished within the week - this must be the first port he’s finished and he’s asking for more! I look forward to returning.

Fred and his colleague welcomed my partner and I to the beautiful winery overlooking the gorgeous vineyards.Fred was very attentive and gave us both a great insight into their wines. An insight into wine in general, as we didn’t know too much to begin with. His relaxed manner and enthusiasm made it a very warming but informative experience for us both. The wine was delicious and he explained everything in a way that allowed for us to feel like we could learn but without any pretentiousness surrounding it.Phil also wouldn’t let us leave without trying their homegrown olives. Very tasty!Would recommend this winery in a heartbeat.Thank you for a fantastic experience to all at The Whispering Brook!

What a fantastic little find, we went a little out of town away from the big commercial wineries and found this sweet little friendly winery and olive grove. The wines were lovely and all grown on site. They paired well with the olives and olive oil tasting. Our host Mitch was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The views were beautiful, through the vinyard to the mountains. Highly recommend.

We stumbled across this winery and it ended up being one of the highlights of our weekend trip! The winery has a family feel, such a welcome change from the busy commercialised wineries in Pokolbin. Mitch was really friendly and we enjoyed the tasting despite being a walk in on an early Sunday morning ! Some nice Portuguese varieties and their sparkling Shiraz was fantastic. We also got a mini tour of the plant. While the wines are on the pricier side, we ended up purchasing a bottle for the memories.

Picturesque, peaceful and pup friendly - we had such a wonderful experience wine tasting here. Fred, our host, was super knowledgeable not just about the wines but the local area too. The wines are top notch. This is an experience to be savoured so allow an hour and a half to get the most out of your wine tasting experience. Highly recommend!

This vineyard is part of a quieter area of the Hunter Valley (Broke area) so it was less busy than the others vineyards, only my group with the host, which was great! The person who welcomed us and was responsible of the tasting was very friendly and took the time to really explain us all about their wine and the area… The fee for tasting is $5 but you don’t pay it if you buy any bottle at the end. It was a very interesting story, you can directly feel the familial aspect of the vineyard, which I really appreciated. We tried wines but also olives and olive oils. The lemon infused oil and the chilli/garlic ones are both delicious and I’m looking forward to try them home. They also do a Port. The wines were very good, all of them. The place is just so charming, with a cosy decoration. We were free to enjoy a quick walk around the property after the tasting. One of the highlights of my Hunter Valley weekend for sure!

Quaint and unpretentious with the most EXQUISITE wines. THIS is the place to visit in Broke. Beautiful hostess with a great sense of humour too. Wish we didn't book another tasting so close to it, would have much rather spend the rest of the afternoon here. Can't wait to be back! ♥️
