Joe and his team did a great job on a renovation at our home in Brighton. They renovated the bathroom, relocated and repaired internal walls, installed new windows and doors, replaced external weatherboards, laid beautiful new floorboards, installed built in wardrobes and a bunch of other little things that arose as they went along.Our plans weren't very well defined, but Joe was very helpful in guiding us through our decisions and he gave us some great suggestions. He kept us well informed about progress as the job went along. We were still living in the house during the renos, but they did a great job cleaning up and making the place liveable throughout. The whole job came in on budget and we are thrilled with the quality of the results. Thanks Scope Construction.

Scope construction did a major renovation on my house at the end of 2014. The quality of the work was outstanding, Joe was very flexible to changes I needed to make to the plan along the way. He was very helpful in making sure we stuck to budget. Joe has recently finished a full renovation of our home. It was our first experience building and renovating and to be honest we were a little nervous as you hear so many bad stories. However, we could not be have been happier with both the process of building and the end product. Joe was both professional and supportive from day one. He and his team worked hard to build our dream home both on time and on budget. Each day the site was left clean and tidy. Our street had difficult access but Joe kept our neighbours happy by informing them in advance of anything that may impact them. Joe is extremely organised and keeps you updated regularly on progress and decisions that need to be made. His attention to detail is a credit to him. Jo and Dan from Scope Construction built our dream deck. This is not a just a deck, but something my wife and I spent a lot of time designing together with our architect and Jo.During the costing phase we asked Jo to price a whole bunch of variations and combinations and he offered some really good ideas to save money while staying true to the design.During the build Jo and Dan were exceptional! Always on time (6:30am start most days) and the quality of their work was second to none. The attention to detail Jo exhibited during the design phase was central to his work during the build phase - really impressive. Our architect inspected his work and said he must be a proud" builder and that sums up his work and customer service!Our family can't be happier with the end result and our experience with Scope Construction was extremely pleasurable. We had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Joe and his team to build a passive designed, off-grid house in the North Brisbane area.Joe was the only person, out of a group of 5 quotes that I sought, who insisted on meeting on site to really get a firm understanding of the physical environment in which he would be working. He asked a large number of questions and sought several clarifications before he sent a final quote. He encouraged me and my wife to talk to talk to the owners of other houses that he had done work for if we had any concerns, and the people we did contact were very positive about the work that Joe had done.With the 4 quotes that we received (one did not even bother to respond after taking our initial details) Joe's was not the cheapest, but there is no doubt in my mind that any of the other builders would not have been up to the same standard. Joe was keenly aware of our financial restrictions and constantly involved us in the process of making compromises to get the building completed on time and in budget without undermining the overall quality of the build itself.Joe was not only in constant communication with us he also kept all information up to date on our online build account. I honestly believe that Joe is a decent and down to earth bloke and all of his team were always approachable and friendly. I never felt like I was being mislead or details were kept from me and I believe l that all of my decisions were well informed, largely in thanks to Joe.

Joe and his team built our gorgeous new house behind our existing house so we saw first hand how committed and professional they were at all times. Joe worked closely with our architect, was always accommodating of any changes and suggested smart solutions to problems found. His exceptional organisation and project management skills meant there were no delays or cost blowouts in a time of significant supply constraints. Expected timeframes and costs were tracked on a very tidy software package so we always felt fully informed. His workmanship was meticulous and any minor defects noted quickly corrected. All in all, would have made for a very uneventful ‘Grand Designs’ episode. We can’t recommend Scope Construction highly enough!

Joe and his team recently completed an extension on our house and we could not be happier with the results. They have done an amazing job. Joe and his team are genuinely nice people who were extremely professional, very reliable, thorough and mindful of our budget. Joe, Todd and Robin were also very considerate of keeping a tidy work site which was much appreciated as we lived on site during the reno. Joe kept us informed of any changes, issues and the co-construct system he uses meant full transparency for the budget and timeline. We can’t fault the attention to detail from Joe and his team and we were also very happy with the work done by Joe’s contractors. Joe has a great team with a really good working dynamic. Joe and his Scope Construction team completed a major renovation for us last year that involved closing in a deck, lifting the roof, relocating and refitting the kitchen and both bathrooms – completely re-configuring our home without changing its footprint on the land. He arranged all the necessary council and engineering inspections, upgrades and approvals, liaised with the architect and expertly managed the entire project. As Joe works on one project at a time, he was on site daily, working alongside his team. We asked for a number of variations to the contract, and Joe was spot-on with pricing them, and he was also still able to bring the project in on time. His advice was invaluable in helping us make those variations as time- and cost-effective as possible. Right from his very prompt quote – after waiting months for quotes from other builders which never came – it was a pleasure to work with Joe. He and his team were respectful of our entire property; our garden especially was carefully protected, as requested. We’ve since had Joe back to renovate our laundry, and as expected, he did a great job. The best thing though? Unlike other builders I spoke to, he understood our vision for our home and was positive and encouraging, right from the start. Thank you, Joe!
