Good portion sizes for the price, and excellent quality food.The team there are always friendly as well.Definitely a Newstead gem!

Decided to try the place out as we just happened to pass by and we were glad we did! The chicken fried rice was delicious and the tom yum is most likely the most authentic we’ve had in a while. Will now be our go-to Thai place ☺️

WHO IS LEAVING THESE 5 STAR REVIEWS!!!!???First of all... I think they might be recycling veg from old dishes.Pad Thai tasted like sauerkraut, green curry looked like it had green dye... This food had very little to do with Thai food.If only I could give it less than 1 star.

Excellent food! We got the Thai fried rice and the Spicy noodles and both were top notch. The spicy noodles certainly had a kick to them that my wife & I enjoyed. Will definitely be going back again for more.

It's okay. I tried the Pad Thai for lunch and it was just very salty and perhaps over indexing on the soy sauce. While I can appreciate it was made fresh for me, the takeaway packaging obviously isn't designed to deal with steaming hot moist food as the integrity of the container gave out when I got back to my workplace 5 minutes down the street (saved by a bowl that i had nearby). I'm not sure i would go back, overall experience was a touch disappointing.

Great red curry and the fish cakes are amazing. The staff here are very friendly and atmosphere makes for a wonderful dining in experience.

I still think this is the best Thai food in the area! Definitely visit this place, cause you wont regret it. Pad Thai or the Thai green curry are recommended.

I Have been going to this wonderful family run restaurant for some time now. I usually go for the lunch options which provide great value meals. My fav being the Pork Cashew and rice.I have had dinner a couple of times and it has been amazing. The coconut rice is just divine as is the duck, too many favourites to mention. The menu is comprehensive and has a lot of variety. Serving portions are large and generous.The owners are a lovely couple who share tasks running the restaurant. I am a regular who visits Thailand and I must say, SOM SAA is my goto for Thai food.
