Sandy Creek Golf Club - Barossa Valley (formerly Gawler Golf Club)

Very disappointing. They are having water problems, very dry at the moment and a lot of GUR and rework to greens. May give it a go in a year or so. May pay to call and ask how the course is going b4 making a booking. Lets hope the come good soon. Stay away from there Crazy Golf Deal, its not worth it.

Beautiful setting, plenty of variety to challenge you; nice greens; kangaroos; had a very enjoyable round of golf.

Great course played challenging with the wind. Would have been nice to have a course layout if not at the tee boxes at least on the back of score card, new players to this course will I agree I believe. After your 1st round you will remember the holes and play much better. All in all I can't wait to get back.

I love this course and layout. The fairways will get better with some winter rain but still a nice country golf course worth the hour drive from Adelaide.

Played 72 holes for the cancer councils longest day. Beautiful course looked after by volunteers. Very nice place to play

UPDATE: Played the course in winter and the course has had some solid improvements made. Distance markers and signage was fixed and the course is much nicer in the winter with a bit of water. Solid recommend for winter golf. Would be 5 stars if the weekend price wasn't so high.-------------------A bit disappointing after hearing good stories about the course 10+ years ago. There are no distance markers and if there were they were very well hidden. Hole directions and distance signs were often faded and with no map you had no idea where the hole played. Course needs a lot of tlc and having the owner chase you around in a cart to make sure you were playing fast enough didn't improve the experience. Played North Adelaide South course for $10 cheaper and they were like night and day. Such a shame for what used to be one of the best courses in the state.

Nice course even after all the recent rain, make sure you book and get there early, great views of the Barossa Valley

It's a nice golf course but because of the amount of rain the fairways weren't the best, when the weather gets better the course will get better

The staff at Sandy creek golf club were absolutely amazing with helping my husband and I, have a stress free and enjoyable wedding reception. They were very accommodating with providing our choice selected drinks, as well as making it very accessible for the caterers and for last minute changes and preparations. The atmosphere was so inviting, and the facilities were top notch. Highly recommended for any private function .
