Careys Cave

We were delighted by the service and tour offered by Geoff. Very funny guy, great history lesson and catered well to all families. He offered to take some photos for us at the end and sent us a courtesy message too! Rare find!

Geoff the guide is very passionate about this beautiful cave. His explanation of the various features of the cave was wonderful. The tour took a little longer than advertised as Geoff was keen to ensure everybody was able to view the special features and have time to take photos. His demonstration with candles of how it was viewed in the earlier days was excellent. He was particularly good with several children who had never been in caves before. Geoff is passionate, funny and occasionally not quite PC, but an excellent guide. Well worth the time.

We had no idea what to expect as we just followed the road signs to the cave. When we arrived the tour was about to start so we quickly got tickets. An incredible experience. The best part was the tour guide. Geoff was witty, knowledgeable, approachable and engaging. Geoff explained things so well and took his time. He was the best part of the tour for sure. We will definitely go again just to have some more banter with Geoff.

The caves were beautiful and worth seeing. Unfortunately the guide talked to us for an hour prior to going in and then we were seated for 40 min inside the cave prior to being able to look around. The guide was very knowledgeable, however did not read" the room and was purely focused on delivering the information that he wanted rather than being guided by customers. The experience was only advertised as an hour and it threw out our day and other people's completely out. He became very difficult when we said that we needed to leave and was extremely controlling! Such a shame as the cave is beautiful. Toilets were not working either and clearly had not been for some time."

My family went there yesterday and well if you are looking for the generic cave tour with drones for the guides rushing you through then this is not the your for you.Geoff the guide is a very knowledgeable and witty old fella with a sharp sense of humour. He has immense pride in his cave's and teaches you about them through his story telling.The tour is not rushed with ample time for questions, photos and banter.We thought we were just going to look at the cave but came away having learnt some very interesting things about the caves and the area including the formation.Geoff was up for a great chat at the end and we look forward to returning on our next visit.

The best cave tour we have ever done. Tour guide Geoff is fantastic,knowledgeable, witty and enthusiastic. Well worth a visit.

I've now been on the cave tour twice! 100% worth going to visit. Geoff is a character, if you don't like him or his humour, I believe that is more of a you problem, then a him problem! My only comment would be to come see the caves during a quiet period. My first visit it was just me and someone else and the second visit was a massive group, it was still a great experience however not quite as nice as the first time..! that aside, well worth a visit.
