Jo is a consummate PR professional and brings her years of journalistic experience to pitch content and stories that elevate brands. Providing PR support for our national law firm, the team appreciated not only the coverage achieved across TV, major metro, radio and online but the amazing support and advice on how to do media well.

Several members of our staff and Board attended the Media and Presentation Training in November 2019. The training has been incredibly beneficial not only to those who attended the training but to our organisation. We were taught valuable tools about dealing and being interviewed by the media and how to get the best representation for your organisation. The practical sessions were a great way to learn our own skills and what to improve. Jo and Paul, who ran the training, were helpful, considerate and enthusiastic. Would recommend!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jo and Paul over many years, both in my capacity as an employee of a large firm and the founder of a small business. They have a wealth of experience in media and PR and are genuinely lovely, authentic people. In recent years we’ve worked closely with Jo and she has achieved some fabulous nationwide coverage for our business. I know that Jo is really invested in the initiatives she takes on and that she will always do her utmost to achieve results. I value her advice and suggestions greatly and recommend her and Paul wholeheartedly.

I would highly recommend Sticks and Stones PR. Jo and Paul provided practical advice on how to best approach interviews and presentations in front of the camera. They gave me practical tips and tricks for how to manage various aspects of being in a studio and how to put my best foot forward on camera. They shared their wisdom through constructive feedback. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend their services to anyone who wants to enhance their on camera skills.

We engaged Jo from Sticks and Stones PR to increase our brand visibility nationally in the lead up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Working with Jo totally exceeded my expectations. Through Jo and her awesome work, we were able to secure a national morning show segment including six live crosses from our support office. This not only resulted in national exposure, we were also able to leverage this content for digital and social media marketing. Furthermore, Jo was able to include Sport Star Academy in the channel 10 national news in a dedicated segment educating the audience on a particular initiative we have running. Jo is passionate, dedicated, knowledgeable and I look forward to engaging her services again soon.

There was no time to lose. I had just been asked to launch one of the nation’s biggest news story – an alarming survey of Australia’s schools principals. The survey results were shocking. It found school principals were being violently attacked and bullied by both students and parents alike! What’s worse the violence was increasing year after year, was rife in both public and private schools and occurring in every state and territory.I knew the story was story was so hot that it could go national. But the survey respondent names were confidential. We had no case studies!I called a friend who recommended Jo Stone at Sticks& Stones PR.I quickly discovered Jo, who is an experienced journalist, is also a no-nonsense media operator. She quickly devised a survey monkey to send out via Principal’s professional associations. Jo called for brave educators to step forward with their stories.Little by little it happened. School principals came forward and agreed to be quoted and interviewed in the media. Our hot story was now viable.Jo made herself available to work across the significant preparation in the lead up to the actual media launch. Once launched it was a huge success and the important story ran for weeks in all major media across print, TV, radio, online and social media. Then 60 Minutes came calling, “We rang you because your story was everywhere and had such an impact on so many people. We’d like to do our own feature.”Australian Catholic University’s enormous results (in a highly-competitive news climate) simply would not have been possible without Sticks&Stones PR Director Jo Stone's expertise.Jo has an absolute ‘nose for news’ and offers brilliantly creative solutions to those seemingly impossible situations. She is a pleasure to work with and really understands the media.
