My entire family loves this restaurant so much. We often order take away at least once every other week if not once a week. Their satay with tofu is my favourite! I highly recommend this place for take away or dining in. The staff are very kind and accommodating.

It’s a hidden gem. Value for money. Great portions. Well priced. Lovely staff. Compliments to the staff and chef. The lychee duck was literally a half duck on my plate. The signature fish dish was amazing! Beef was great as well. I believe we over ordered to make sure we don’t go home hungry and have a good variety. We needed up bring some home. Just about to polish of some of it as I write this review and it’s taste better than yesterday!!

What an awesome find. Great service and amazing food. After entrees we tried the Indonesian Fish Sambal. Could eat this for the rest of my life! Then came the Wagyu Beef Rib in Special Sauce. On another level! Lastly, the Stir-Fry Drunken Spicy Noodle. Absolutely fab!

What a jewel in Curl Curl. A small, friendly, local diner that punches way above it's location.The meal was superb, 5 of us dined.San choi bowStay chicken skewersIndonesian sambal fishMasaman curryCashew with prawns stir fry.Steamed rice.Each dish was perfection, a chef who is skilled I balancing flavours and textures.I wish I lived closer. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Bought the duck salad take away, 19 dollars for a few pieces of shredded duck on top of a container full of lettuce. Not cool guys

Been living in the area for almost 3 years and regretting not having tried this restaurant before. Every single dish we ordered was so tasty. Probably the best massaman beef I’ve ever had.Will def go back!

The food is amazing. Best to book a table, as it's only a small restaurant. Bring your own booze as the restaurant is not licensed. Recommend satay skewers, beef ribs, duck salad .... actually I've never had a bad dish .... it's all good ...and I've eaten here many times.

Our first time visit and certainly not our last.Really is a little jewel tucked away in North Curl Curl.Food was very,very good and prices extremely reasonable and the service friendly and efficient. A great little place.

Wow, wow, wow! Absolutely loved our visit to Wooden Spice last Saturday night. Warmly welcomed by Rachel and her team. We started off with chicken satay - 4 sticks all with generous, delicious and succulent chicken pieces and topped with satay sauce - the perfect start.My husband and I shared two dishes for main course - a massaman beef curry and a chicken kung pao. Both were excellent, however the massaman beef curry was simply incredible - soft, melt in your mouth beef, potatoes and a tasty massaman curry sauce. And good portion sizes. Some steamed rice was a great accompaniment for both.We were pleasantly surprised by our dining experience at Wooden Spice - a short walk across the park - and will certainly go back.And BYO.

Fantastic eatery located in North Curl Curl. Chef Joe really knows his asian cuisine. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. BYO, with bottleshop just a few doors down. . Get's busy, so booking's are recommended.
